Moussaoui's Flight Instructor Explains Why He Wasn't Pilot Material
Edited on Wed Apr-20-05 08:35 AM by GiovanniC
This is scary in more ways than one:

Moussaoui repeated some of the technical phrases and asked a few questions. Prevost, who flew 747s for Northwest Airlines, smiles and says, “I knew he wasn’t pilot material, because he’d actually read his manuals and he didn’t talk about pussy.”

2. Help me out here
Is Moussaoui the guy that did a tight (2G) 180 degree turn while descending 3000 feet to level off a mere few feet above the ground just before slamming a 757 into the Pentagon?

If this is the guy, I doubt even the most seasoned (non-fighter plane trained) pilot could duplicate that maneuver in that type of plane.

The guy that pulled off that maneuver was a pro, no doubt in my mind about that.

Is it possible to dial in that maneuver into an autopilot?

4. Moussaoui is the So-Called "20th Hijacker"
He never made it... he was turned in to the FBI... by the same guy who was responsible for that quote. Prevost.

Prevost’s reservations about Moussaoui hardened into deep suspicion.

Prevost went back into the meeting room. “Hey you guys, how ’bout this? This guy paid for his training with one-hundred-dollar bills. You know what, if he went to buy an airplane ticket over at the terminal and comes up with hundred-dollar bills, lookin’ like he’s lookin’, they’d have him in the rubber room. They’d have him in jail, and they’d be questioning him. We should call the FBI!” Another Pan Am worker says the bigger concern at the time was what to do with Moussaoui’s stacks of hundred-dollar bills until somebody could get to the bank.

The meeting resumed behind closed doors. Prevost walked away feeling somewhat reassured. He hoped his message had gotten through, and that management would consider calling the FBI. Prevost wouldn’t get the chance to plead his case again.
