C-Span: Dems are speaking out against the energy bill
Edited on Wed Apr-20-05 12:17 PM by kerry-is-my-prez
heads up.

They are speaking about MTVE.

Talking about how irresponsible they are being environmentally and fiscally.

Steny Hoyer: "How sad a day this is."

2. how dare they!
speaking up against the wonderful bill that will, if passed, bring a swift end to US dependence on foreign oil through the prudent and non-invasive drilling in Alaska. not to mention a bill that was written up by legislators without any outside influence from companies, will help preserve the environment, and make all the world smell like bubble gum and cotton candy . . . .

:sarcasm:

3. As they are showing that...
The Dems are getting beat along mostly party lines (6 Dems have defected) losing on the MTVE amendment.

5. Nah, I think you're right
The Republican Science Committee Chair denounced this bill, saying it didn't represent a serious energy policy. Hoyer pointed out that 93% of the tax breaks in the bill go to oil companies.
