Barbara Boxer rocks and is the future of the Democratic party...
I'm watching Bill Maher's show from Friday night for the 3rd time and Barbara Boxer is unbelieveable when it comes to game on. Our party needs to take lessons from her. Enough said. She just rocks.

1. I think she's incredible and, as she's my senator, I'm so proud
to be one of her many constituents.

What a fantastic politician!!! The others sure could take some lessons from her...

Go Barbara-- GO!!!!

3. In the past I have warned California DUers that they had better --

-- just watch out, because I'm coming out there and stealing Senator Boxer in broad daylight.

Barbara Boxer is doing the soul-work of the Democratic Party right now. She's done good work over a long period. She's got the fire and the vision both and if she is on a November ballot anywhere at all near me in 2008, she has my support.

She's a comet.

5. She was great!
Is she a Mrs or Miss Or Ms? Just me wondering. I loved her on the show. I wish she could be on the panel!

6. She's a "Mrs."
From Boxer's website:

Senator Boxer married Stewart Boxer in 1962. They have two adult children and one grandson. They live in Marin County.

It may be worth remembering that Boxer whooped one of California's creepiest right-wingers back in the 1992 Senate race: Bruce Herschenson, a TV News Reader here in Los Angeles. Imagine the smarminess of Leslie "Wolf" Blitzer combined with the arrogance of Limbaugh.

Boxer's success is no secret: she takes care of her constituents.

That seems to work for all our Dem representatives out here.

After B-1 Bob Dornan lost his House seat down in Orange County, the LA TIMES ran a letter from a life-long Republican who had just changed her registration to Democrat.

When Dornan was in office, she was trying to get some Basic Constituent Thing done. I don't remember the details, but it was something fairly simple.

Ms. Constituent visited Dornan's local office, and a staffer subjected her to a long-winded harangue about Evil Homosexuals. He ignored her problem.

Once Loretta Sanchez won that seat, the woman made a phone call and got the problem fixed right away.

7. We are the future of the party
online activists and left wing bloggers. Those of us on the board who are young and taking lessons from the wiser and more experienced among us. Liberals not afraid of the word, and Progressives reclaiming an honorable and longstanding tradition dating back to the La Follettes.
Senators come and go. We are here to stay.

10. Anyone who stands for truth is the future of the party
Activists, bloggers, young, old, liberals, progressives...even Senators.

She is a great example of how to do it, for anyone who can wield the power of extreme lucidity, clarity, focus; the fearlessness of TRUTH.

She's proof that "balls" are not the answer. Courage to stand in truth comes from the heart.

11. Her tenacity
is what is the future of the Democratic party--whether it be her or anyone else--standing up for the little people is what we need and I believe that the way she approaches the problems we face hits the nail on the head of how our party succeeds.
