DU this poll
Should Jane Fonda press charges against the man who spit tobacco juice in her face?

Poll on left - scroll down a bit.

1. You know, there are polls and there are polls. Many we should DU.
But this is a stupid one and I'm not going to.

Ignore it.

2. Do whatever you want
I would rather not give these idiot freepers any more victories.

3. Why would you consider this some freeper victory?
It's just a stupid question.

"A man’s been accused of spitting in Jane Fonda’s face when she was in town signing books. Should she have pressed charges?"

OK, a man spits on me. Should I press charges? A man spits on you. Do you press charges?

Well, maybe yes, maybe no.

Sometimes it's best to let things go and be above what happened. Which I believe is the case here. So I kind of believe, she shouldn't. It would certainly distract from her book tour, which is her aim.

One must pick fights worth fighting.

So, I can't vote in the poll with that opinion without you thinking I'm a freeper. (At least just based on the vote.) Ergo, stupid poll. Let it go.

5. This happened in my town
and the freepers are going nuts. They are mad that the guy was arrested even though Jane Fonda declined to press charges.

I would love to let it go but I don't want a bunch of freepers running around thinking they have scored some victory because one of them spit in Jane Fonda's face.

7. Clarification:
I could not care less if she presses charges or not.

I, on the other hand, do care about spurious attempts to harness DU on such a frivolous quest enough to declare this case not worth the time in four words.

8. I love how these guys are so brave
he ran like an 8 year old trying to steal a candy bar after doing it. If he thought he was making such an important statement, couldn't he stand there and wait to face the music? What was he so afraid of--- That she might spit back?

For the record, I do think Jane Fonda is a bit of a doofus. And she shouldn't have sat on that anti-aircraft gun, but she doesn't have to apologize for being against the Vietnam War. And these yahoos don't think anyone should have protested the war, ever, at all.

9. Done.
Glad to be a part of this "frivolous" and "spurious" exercise and even happier to stand up to the self-appointed poll police.

10. No. Jane is great, she's been through this kind of garbage for many years.
Edited on Thu Apr-21-05 02:00 AM by Zinfandel
Done...Even though I voted YES!

Apologies she has made though the years, over & over means nothing to these people, they've NEVER made any mistakes in their lives? Still, they want to blame Fonda for all the killing and bombings...As if, the mighty US military and the corporations making billions were NOT to blame, nor had any interest.

The war was a lie!

They sold it on the "Domino Theory". We now know what a lie it was.

Same old story, as we now see very clearly in Iraq & Afghanistan...

Look in the mirror...

12. They act like we may have won that war
if not for Jane Fonda. Like her actions are the only reason we lost.
