10. There's nothing wrong with wearing white socks
But there is something wrong with the man wearing them.

Seriously, those thin black socks are the most uncomfortable footwear items ever. I wear regular crew socks the one time a year I wear nice pants and shoes. I don't give a crap what the fashion police think.

But really, you can buy all cotton or cotton/poly black crew socks that feel like athletic socks just about anywhere.

3. I was a HUGE Dennis Miller fan for a Loooooong time
I wouldn't miss his show for anything on HBO, all the way up to the point where he answered the call of the Dark Lords of the Sith and went over to the Dark Side.

I'll never watch him or any show with him on as a guest. I did not watch TDS last night, nor will I watch that episode ever.

6. Didn't miss much...
He was in full-court blowhard mode...Jon couldn't get a word in edgewise. Spewed some jokes about global warming being insignificant, not much else.

I used to like Miller. I hate him since he went fascist. I could tell on the The Daily Show he was trying to back pedal all of his conservative rant. I'll bet his ratings over at MSNBC suck and he's trying to go back to the dems. But I don't want his fat ass or his Michael Jackson threads. He can go to ____ (insert word of choice here):evilgrin:

8. He did the usual wingnut trick on Daily Show
same as O'Reilly and Newt. Tried to appear "fair and balanced". But it didn't work. The clip from his show was truly annoying. Another Charles/Camelia "she's so ugly" joke. Miller is tired and whorish. He panders shamelessly. The contrast with Stewart was stark. And you could tell Miller desperately wants to be Stewart. He just doesn't have the brains or the charm. Not even close.

22. One of my favorite TV five minutes
Dennis Miller getting his ass handed to him by mild-mannered, bookish Eric Alterman on his own show. Miller pulled out his old "Aren't you GLAD that the Iraqi people are FREE? Alterman. Of course, Of course. But not at the cost. It didn't have to be done this way...." By the time Alterman was done, Miller had nothing. He was totally shut down. Couldn't think of even one wise-ass smarmy remark. He literally put hiw head down on his desk, then went to a commercial. And he was pissed. He couldn't stand having someone smarter than himself as a guest. Which severely limits who's a guest on his show.
