U.S. Bars Russian Company Over Iran Sales
Tue Sep 16, 5:08 PM ET

WASHINGTON - A Russian company was barred Tuesday from U.S. contracts because it was found to be selling laser-guided artillery shells to Iran.

We're the only country to defy the UN regarding the Arafat situation. Do you think they're happy about that? Think their just going to let it slide without repercussion? Ahhh, diplomacy at its finest...

Let's see, about this Russian thing, Poppy goes to Russia, begs for help for his fuck-up, waste of sperm of a son, Russia refuses and picks his pocket...And the we get this story about barring a Russian company...Yup! All makes sense! Sometimes I'm just so damn proud of myself...

1. I'm cynical.
I think the UN will give some aid to the war in Iraq, though the US will have to lower the request (i.e., give up more control). We will get the oil though. Money and power seem to rule. It's frustrating that the world won't stand up to the bully USA.

2. I dunno, it only takes one veto
and we're certainly not making any friends, but rather, just the oppossite. The Arafat veto could very well doom any resolution for support for Iraq.

7. Many people were saying the same thing about
the second Iraq resolution...They tried and tried to bribe and bribe and ended up with nothing to show for it...I have a feeling the same is going to happen here...

Iraq is a bad investment for anyone and the US doesn't have much capital left, both financially and politically...We've lost all credibility. Any deals we strike with any UN members for support will have to be predicated upon promises from Bush. Would you trust him to keep his word?

4. I don't think the Russians are going to do diddly to help, they
signed that oil deal with Saudi. China's not going to help either.

8. I think it might be payback time
Russia can sit back and watch the US self destruct. I can see no good reason for them to lift a finger to help the US. They just struck an oil deal with Saudi Arabia too.
