700 Club News Story - Democrats Filibustering Against People of Faith
Edited on Fri Apr-22-05 10:24 PM by InfoMinister
I was just watching the 700 Club on ABC Family a few minutes ago to see what they were saying and they had a news story about filibustering. They discussed some issues about the filibuster and talked about a conservative group that said that Democrats were filibustering against people of faith. Then, after the story one of the announcers came on there and basically said they had a point. They're against judges that are against abortion, support the 10 commandments, and judges who don't want to redefine marriage. Then, said to contact your senators to tell them how you feel. Does anyone feel we need to counter this?

2. Don't Watch That Crap!
Wicked are they...

They divide.
They rake in $$$ from the poor, elderly & under-educated.
They're raking in even more, using fear-tactics.

Oh... I could go on and on. It should be called the 666 Club!

3. Well, You Need To Watch Some of It To Know What Tactics They're Using

Pat Robertson and others like them have a lot of power over other people just like you're saying. How many people do you think they just inspired to call these senators just then and some of these senators are probably going to take them seriously as well?

4. The 700 club? You mean the robbers of the weak?
This is only a scam operation. They are as close to God as Lucifer is, in fact they may be one and the same.

7. We can diatribe all we want against these organizations...
But to answer the opening thread... hell yes we need to take action. If you have not already done so:

Contact your Sens and Reps and demand that the fillibuster be preserved. The majority does not have infallibility just because of higher numbers. We must respect and listen to dissenting minority views. This is the basis of a healthy Democracy. Yes, we need to take these actins by the theocratic base deadly seriously. I don't suggest we can change their particular form of zealous insanity, but we as a Nation can demand the Government that we, as citizens, are promised.
I am passing out leaflets in mailboxes tomorrow informing of what is happening. Just the facts about this occurence is enough.

8. My GOP Senator has closed down his email
and you can't get an answer on his telephone. I live in one of the reddest states in the nation. I do urge you who live in at least partially blue states to contact your reps.

10. So Where's That Phone Number?
I keep on forgetting that 800 number everyone always posted around election time. Also, I have to point out that a lot of polls are showing that people actually don't agree with the Republicans on this issue.
