I am a " peacemaker" and I am really quite mellow. The deletions were because I asked if Jerry Falwell had died? The go fuck yourself was because I said "get a life" to someone who wanted people to post him if they wanted him to swear at them, sorry but he does need a life. The last one is hilarious, I posted in DUlounge a nostalgic piece on Foster freeze ice cream cones, and the guy said "I hate you because I worked there and it was the hardest job I ever had. I wrote back "hard word builds Character".

Sorry Laura, I was totally kidding with the "I hate you" bit ;). It happens an awful lot here, especially in the Lounge. A lot of us have a dry, abrasive sense of humor - it's what makes the place so fun!

I couldn't type one night when I was drunk in the lounge, so I think they may despise me there, but I guess they'll get over it, other than that,I've had happy times here.

And got the feeling from the reply that I was a fascist spy.

I only had 1 deleted and 3 go fuck yourself posts when I started. Then I settled down and haven't had any problems since then. Except for that one Pope post.......

and I was flamed as a Freeper troll. I learned right then that the hot wire issue on DU is religion. Make pro-religion statements and the atheists will flame you, make anti-religion statements and the Christians will get you. Since then I have tried to stay away from religion on DU.

what does "flamed" and freeper troll mean? Is a troll someone from the other side, not allowed here? Thanks.

and man what a welcome on a particular post. saw right quick the feeling out if i was a freeper. didnt take it personally. loved the site and info being given. loved the fast pace. and here i am a year later

so welcome. and dont take persoanlly, and i was going to share on another thread, someone talking about insulting others calling em fat pigs. we have a lot of youth. we have a lot of people on computer feel free to say whatever outrageous they would never say to someones face.

i prefer to come on computer and be as true to myself on computer as a physical interaction with another. not play games. my choice. not alls choices. i say kids are good, someone will come on and tell me the horror of a child and they shouldnt be let out in public to bother the adults. go figure

insult, but if you don't start to capitalizing your first letters after periods, you will get accustom to that way of typing. It will become a habit and not easy to break. Anyway, the nasty replies I got, I replied very nicely and both wrote be back very nice reply's. So it just shows that if you don't get nasty back, their whole mood changes. It's quite amazing. As far as the younger people go, I kinda figured that out. Just tell them your real age and watch them disappear. Quite funny really. But they are all very bright!
