CHRISTIANS HATE PEACE....look at the evidence.....
Every Xmas we all long for Peace on Earth....so what do we do....?

Elect a guy who is a War President....who lied to us....uses religion and the 9/11 attack on his sleeve as an excuse for more War and conflict.

Bush is controlled by an EVIL FORCE pretending to be benevolent.

Look at the results of Bush, its scarey.

A losser all his life, no reading, comprehending, knowledge of what true leaders do for their people. and yet he is there....what does it say about those who vote for him?

Yikes.

Have you read "The Biology of Transcendence" by Joseph Chilton Pearce? I've just started it, but it's all about the tension between seeking peace while furthering violence.

I agree with you. IT seems to me that a lot of people on this board forget that about 90% of ALL Americans claim to be Christian. So if that is even slightly true, insulting Democrats who are on your side of the issues is counter productive. Some of us, like me, are Christians who actually thing for ourselves and are progressive on social issues and HATE war. After all, there are good and bad people in EVERY group. Stereotyping doesn't do anyone any good.

Arabs love terrorism because some people cheered on 9-11. Democrats love to kill fetuses because they are pro-choice. (sarcasm but generalities can be used for anything.)

8. Um, yes. Osama Bin Laden, Stalin, and Mao are perfect examples of this....
A large segment of Christians do not even believe in war. The rest limit its justifications very severely. There is a 3rd group, called "we can do whatever we want" but they are the rightists that exist only in the US.

men who voted for the chimp, fuck everybody else seems to be the mindset of so many evangelicals these days. Fundies believe in the propagandistic idea of American exceptionalism so fully that it supersedes the real and true value of Christianity. I know both militaristic Christians, (most are fundies, but some Catholics too), and peace loving Christians (mostly Catholics and members of progressive Protestant churches like the Disciples of Christ, or mainstream Protestants). It's heartbreaking how the "Jesus message" of the Beatitudes has been so often ignored, only to be replaced by the vengeful, fire and brimstone God of the old testament.

RW Fundamentalist Christians certainly hate peace. They drool for the day that Christ returns to nuke the unbelievers. But Quakers, Liberation Theologists, Progressive Catholics, and Christian Unitarians do not hate peace
