8. Great topic
Guy,

If I may suggest a question. Why is it the religious right is always voicing political opinions while the religious left is virtually silent and is the religious left doing anything to counter the right? Thanks

15. I only hope the PUBs understand what the bancruptcy bill does to troops!
Yank 'em away from their job that pays them a decent wage, shove 'em into Iraq at $350 a month, and certainly don't expect them to have to declare bankruptcy!!!!!

I don't know what the amount is that the activated troops make, and I could be wong on the $350, but I know it's not a lot more than that!!!!

Shame of America for asking these people to risk their life.....for a whole bunch of idiots!

Bush's Most Radical Plan Yet
With a vote of hand-picked lobbyists, the president could terminate any federal agency he dislikes

by Osha Gray Davidson

If you've got something to hide in Washington, the best place to bury it is in the federal budget. The spending plan that President Bush submitted to Congress this year contains 2,000 pages that outline funding to safeguard the environment, protect workers from injury and death, crack down on securities fraud and ensure the safety of prescription drugs. But almost unnoticed in the budget, tucked away in a single paragraph, is a provision that could make every one of those protections a thing of the past.

The proposal, spelled out in three short sentences, would give the president the power to appoint an eight-member panel called the "Sunset Commission," which would systematically review federal programs every ten years and decide whether they should be eliminated. Any programs that are not "producing results," in the eyes of the commission, would "automatically terminate unless the Congress took action to continue them."

28. Yes
I liked how he was with the young girl. And, as I mentioned, First Corinthians was AFTER Jesus' time. He never talked about homosexuality. He did talk about divorce and adultry. (Oh if you're wondering I'm Christian and have studied the Bible since I was a wee little girl)

29. I'm in tears over that last caller Guy
She's been lied to and used by greedy politicians
it's so sad .

She's convinced it's OK to Judge people

"it's up to Dr. Dobson to judge us and keep us in line"
she said that ..Maybe it's because I live here
where people who believe like that are few and far between .
But that call scared me .

32. Sad really
:( She sounded like maybe 14-16 or so. Could be older though for all we know since I'm 22 and sound like I'm 17/18. Sad really. And she doesn't know that First Corinthians isn't from Jesus but his apostoles. Hopefully she'll have more experience with the world and get to travel for school. And I'm Christian and didn't hear Mr. James say anything offensive to Christianity. Just the truth. And I'd appreciate being told the truth.

37. MSM Coverage
Can anyone give me an estimate of how much time the MSM has spent covering the Delay story? I heard a caller on the show say that all the media is covering is Tom Delay. However, I have seen very little coverage of the Delay issue. I do not watch that much MSM, but I do check in every now and then.

Sure hope Bolton doesn't make it.

Voinovitch was surely, as Guy James said, a brave man for bucking the party on this. He did follow his conscience.

Great show.
