DANCE, Laura, DANCE!!!
Dance and yuk it up with the elite! Pay no attention to those suffering under record gas prices or being blown to bits in Iraq! Party on, you First Lady, you! Fiesta!!

First Lady Laura Bush leaves a store in the Valle de Bravo section of Mexico City, Mexico, Saturday, April 23, 2005. Laura Bush will be among 400 guests dining, dancing and feasting on old-fashioned Texas barbeque during a three-day wedding celebration for the U.S. Ambassador and Mexico's richest woman, U.S. officials said Friday.

1. Ooh, powerful contrasts.
Bluebear, you're really good with images that portray messages. You should think about adding something to this thread:

9. Thanks Sparkly
I will have to work on it. It would have something to do with a NASCAR race and the cars going round and round, all the supposed Bush voters enjoying themselves, then the cars sputter, out of gas, one by one, until there is silence....cut to Bush talking about "I call YOU my base" at some rich dinner, caviar and champagne flowing......everyone in tuxedoes and evening gowns laughing as the NASCAR fans leave the race since there is no more gas to be had... quick photos of factories and assembly lines shut down, textile plants empty... as Bangalore and Guangzhou workers shop for goods at their new department stores... "YOU THOUGHT PRESIDENT BUSH IS "JUST LIKE US?" says the screen, fade to black.

2. I hope the main course in the "old-fashioned Texas barbeque"...
...is a big, steaming platter of prairie oysters.

:grr:

3. Where's George?
Oh that's right Mexico isn't too happy with us right now. If George went they might arrest him and send him to The Hague. Also The White House Travel Office might be in trouble. If Laura is in Mexico Then some one didn't get the travel advisory. But then again Bush could be contemplating a run for the boarder. No wait Mexico hates him they would extradict him.

4. Good job, Bear
The bottom one is bad ass. I see these kids and want to cry. I really once believed we would spare our children (well grandchildren in some of our cases) from this war thing. Has the boomer generation actually done one damn thing properly? I wish I could think of a single way we have made this world better!

5. Don't be too hard on the Boomers...........
my son is one, he's done a lot right, and along with me, fears for his kids. All anyone can do is their best, nobody's perfect. IMO things went terribly wrong in this country long before a boomer was born. It's water over the dam, I just wish I knew what could be done.
The pictures were great, brought tears to my old eyes.

7. I thought I was going to see a funny picture of Pickles dancing......
You know, like Elaine danced in Seinfeld. Instead, I got a wonderful picture commentary. It really is worth a thousand words. Thank you.

8. Thank you all....
The world suffers and she goes to a three-day fiesta with the rich and famous. Yet, people say, "Oh they are just like us!"
