the republican national business advisory council just asked me to have dinner with *.

I am not going to be in DC so i turned them down.

If you would like to attend and are a business owner please call
1*800*245*2577.

p.s. they are asking for a $500 donation for the "priviledge"

1. It'd be worth the $500 if you had it.
IMO. Sometimes groups (in the spirit of Code Pink) are happy to fund such things for select individuals.

2. I couldn't keep the dinner down..
considering the company I'd be with. I'll pass. I'm sure there enough bush-bots that would jump at the chance to waste $500 to dine with "the grate one".

4. good answer.
when they called I thought there was a business reason so I called the number.

I slammed down the received when I heard what it was about.

they called me last year and asked me to join their organization. So I did. they asked for $500 but I said the economy was so bad I couldn't afford it.

they sent me an autographed copy of * and a certificate that said I was an honorary "Chairman" of the organization. I figure that it cost them about $50. to do all of that stuff.

p.s. the picture is hanging on my dart board.

Like a whole pie, all at one time.

He should not be denied pie.

8. I wonder if he realizes that everyone's "tax break" has flowed down
their gas tank filler neck... that and more.

These artisans of historical blunders learn not from history, learn not from others, listen to fools, and are destined to fulfill their follies in spite of better men whom they hold in contempt for trying to do the right thing. Pity.

11. If someone goes, be sure to make the pie higher. Do they provide barf bags
for $500 per plate? Seems only fair.

For those interested, bush did say, 'make the pie highter.' Check out Snopes analysis and documentation of the phrase and the whole bushism poem, with that title:

14. Not long after this a friend who is also an attorney
got the same request and did the same thing I did. EXCEPT for the fact that he displayed his Honorary certificate as a chairman on his company bulletin board...

Oh for crap he took...everyone was laughing at him. Until he told them that it was unsolicited. and free.

then every one in his firm was rolling on the floor laughing their asses off.
