Xuan Minh, 3, looks out from his bed at the Tu Du Hospital in Ho Chi Min city on Friday March 25,2005, suffering from what is believed to be the effects of the jungle defoliant Agent Orange, used heavily in the region by the U.S. armed forces during the Vietnam War. Vietnam celebrates the end of hostilities on April 30, 2005, marking 30 years since war in Vietnam ended.

our high-techy gadgets and gizmos work a lot better in wide open spaces like they have in iraq, than in the thick jungles of places like vietnam and, well....Venezuela. so, tough luck for you guys- you might want to think about starting a "March of Dimes"...it's starting to look like you might need it down the road...if only you didn't have all that oil.

and she is very troubled about what is going on in her native country. It's some pretty sad stuff IMO.

4. US courts have rejected lawsuit by people of vietnam
against chemical-manufacturing companies.

Over 4 million vietnamese still suffer from "agent orange."

Pathetic

5. I believe topic creator is saying US might go to war with venezuela
and use chemical weapons like this. Considering they already used illegal weapons in Iraq.

6. I think making reference to when we, America, invade Venezuela
in the near future. That we will be compelled to use agent orange.
Lots of foliage there.

8. Yep....that picture showed up on my MyYahoo! home page...
as a most emailed newsphoto, and it occurred to me that when we illegally invade venezuela to "save" them from a power-mad dictator(NOT my sentiment re:chavez, btw), we'll have to break out the agent orange to get rid of all that jungle foliage- and we'll be able to use "daisy-cutters" in the way in which they were intended- and how they got their name('cutting' down fully grown trees like so many 'daisies', in order to clear helicoptor landing sites in the jungle.

9. Agent Orange today in Vietnam - God bless the Christian American Military
Edited on Tue Apr-26-05 12:58 PM by dArKeR
Pham Thi Thuy Linh, 11, practices her math homework at the Tu Du Hospital in Ho Chi Min city on Friday March 25,2005, suffering from what is believed to be the effects of the jungle defoliant Agent Orange, used heavily in the region by the U.S. forces during the Vietnam War. This year a U.S federal judge dismissed a lawsuit filed on behalf of some 4 million Vietnamese claiming that U.S. chemical companies committed war crimes by making Agent Orange for use during the Vietnam War.
