Repugnantcan control is complete. I know they control the wh, senate, congress, supreme court and papacy, but money is money. The huge gas guzzling SUV's must cost much more than me to fill up. Americans don't seem to care about lack of decent paying jobs, lack of health insurance, the US treasury being turned over to corporations, erosion of separation of church and state, passing a crushing national debt onto their children and grandchildren-what a sad state of affairs. I've read many of you post that if Americans really knew what was going on, they would throw the bushistas out on their asses. Sorry to break your bubble, but Americans do know what is going on but as long as it doesn't involve gays no one seems to care. I didn't think I'd be around to see the beginning of the end of the American experiment.

1. People may be getting afraid that.....
they are lucky to be able to buy gas at any price. I know I am, with all this
talk of world oil reserves being used up. We are junkies for gas--we can't
live our lives without it, and will pay whatever it costs. The oil companies,
and their stooges Bush and Cheney, know this.

2. I'm livid. I may move so that I would have a shorter bus ride.

3. I honestly believe that many people in the US are in despair
about all that you mention but don't know what to do about it at least for now in 2005..Options for changing things are limited for the average Joe who is trying to make ends meet and attempting to keep up with an endless work load in order to try and defray all the costs..I don't hear our 'leaders' addressing the problems or uncertainty facing people..In fact it seems many of our 'experts' only add insult to injury here..

4. 1999 Ford Escort Wagon (Mazda Design, Mexico-Built)
It cost about $20 to fill up today, versus about $15 a year ago. It gets about 38-mpg in suburban service, and 33-mpg at 75-mph on the Interstate. Bought it used, New Years Eve, in 2003. It was a used commercial car, ~28,000-miles on the odometer. Praise Allah, it has given good service for 20,000-miles for my family.

Together we will defeat the unelected Bush and his Krazy Khristian allies!

9. I've owned 3 Mazda's and loved all of them.
I wish Mazda had bought Ford, instead of the other way around. The best selling small truck in America for years was the Ford built by Mazda. The popular Ford Escape is a Mazda Tribute except with a piece of shit Ford engine.

The Ford Probe was a big mistake because it was designed by Mazda, but assembled by Ford. Obviously, the Ford manufacturers couldn't figure out how it was supposed to be put together.

I love Mazda. I love them more when Ford leaves them alone and let them do what they do best.

Oh, and if you haven't driven a rotary engine, you should try it. You've never experienced anything like it.

5. Americans are upset, but many refuse to face who's at fault ....
they'll blame anyone but Dumbya because that indirectly points the finger at them

6. The price you....
...pay in the States for petrol/gas is about 1/3 of what we pay in Europe.

That's a quite amazing thing.

8. You have taxes that go to good causes and a structured transit system.
We've got neither.

Taxes that go toward corporate tax cuts if not corporate subsidies.

No transit system worth a damn.

7. Because, for most of them, their short term memory makes them forget.
I haven't forgotten. Not 25 years' worth of policies.

My excuse? I'm apathetic toward most people. They don't seem to care or think that Constantine rocks is more important.

We are our own destruction.

11. They are. Don't be silly.
Or did you think Bush's declining poll numbers have been about Schiavo? Silly boy.

12. They have been expecting it
Just like they expect the SS to not be there when they need it. So they don't fight FOR it. Same thing with gas prices. They KNOW it's more expensive in other countrys. But they don't realize the price difference is for better roads, etc. We have been told for years how "lucky" we are to have such cheap gas.

And they don't know WHAT to do about it. Take to the streets? That doesn't seem to help. The government isn't afraid of protesters. Cops will just come out in riot gear, arrest everyone, and all those protesting will then have a "record" and maybe no JOB! When you are living pay check to pay check, I don't think enough people would be willing to stand and fight.

Really I don't.
