Is the rumour of a new Bin Laden Video, a fake news story? just to take pressure off of Bush?

be another video released? Oy. I wonder if people will fall for it? The republicans aren't doing anything and they have control over all the government and their poll numbers are really low. Plus Bush still wants some more war and nobody is joining the military. I still think that last BinLaden video was pretty strange. It didn't look anything like him at all. :shrug: Lots of weird things in that video.

It's well documented that he's served, or been served by, the secret services of Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and the US (against the USSR); the UK (against Khadafi), Sudan, Afghanistan (several factions), and several former Soviet states ("stans") in the Caspian Sea region (against Russia). Add to that temporary alliances with half a dozen Arabic states and several dozen rump dictators and warlords from Africa to the Philippines, and he's been very busy.

Feature a fellow with the hat of Osama Bin Laden, and the beard of Osama Bin Laden, but not the cheekbones or eyes of Osama Bin Laden.

They'd see bin Laden, and a little light bulb would go off in their heads, and they'd think, 'Gee. Isn't that the guy Bush was supposed to catch? Why is he still free and making home movies?'

no word on any new videos though. it may be likely that bin ladin's contract and sed card expired, or he might be auditioning for the role of uncle jessie in the new dukes of hazzard film. seems plausible, the bush's are probably just paying him minimum wage for his on-screen appearances.

14. It's a mystery to me
That we don't see more different pictures of the guy.

I mean, you'd think they could find at least one where he actually looks nasty. Look at that most-frequently printed photo of Osama. He's got such a benign expression, "Hmm, you young gentlement sit down and write haikus while I make some tea."

At least the pic they've got of al-Zirqawi has him looking as if he's preparing to rob a 7-11.

A lot of the Muslims I used to chat with online insist that al-Zirqawi is a wholly fictional person.
