Anyone surprised about all the (R)s in the "screw the troops let em die" column?

Didn't think so.

1. Amazing!
How could anyone even a Republican vote NO against keeping our soldiers alive! I wish more of this kind of information was out in the public for the blind to see!!!!

2. Of course both of my GA senators voted NAY.
Fucking hypocritical assholes.

Saxby Chambliss must really hate veterans. First he totally smeared Max Cleland's character and questioned his patriotism and now this.

:grr: :puke: :grr: :puke:

3. Goes along with my personal
experience on who is supporting my troop -- my Marine son, back in Iraq for his second tour. He gets packages, letters, and email from my very liberal friends. This means so much to him. What does he get from my conservative family members? Magnetic decals on their vehicles. You know, those mass-produced magnets may make the driver feel patriotic and fuzzy...but they are hardly the same as taking the time for a letter and sending photos.

13. You mean the ones manufactured in China?
I've been doing an informal survey of those things whenever I see them displayed. I have yet to run across one manufactured in the U.S.

4. Hats off to Lincoln and Pryor
both my senators voted to arm the Humvees-but then both are Democrats.

Here's a thought: why not suggest that a surtax be placed on all the yellow ribbon magnet stickers, the proceeds of which go directly to supporting veteran's hospitals or the like-think we should mail our senators and suggest this?

6. That would dry up all sales of ribbons from rightwingnuts.
But all the non-rightwingnuts who would then buy ribbons would more than make up for it. Of course we'd then hear rightwingnuts whining how we only support the troops by buying stupid made-in-China magnets.

Rightwingnuts; biggest hypocrites, stupidest MFers, on the planet.

7. Was the Dem veteran Inouye
asleep that day or what? And does Lott now tend to buck his former cohorts out of spite or is that GOP yea votes, besides the eastern moderates made up of shaky seats in touchy districts?

8. I am surprised to see Talent in the yea column.
Of all the Republicans in the Nay column, Warner of Virginia surprises me. Maybe those who voted against armour should tour Iraq in an un-armored Humvee.

Support our troops tax a millionaire.

9. The mind boggles.
Why would ANYONE vote against this. WHY? Even in freeper-logic mode, this is inconceivable to me.

Is there any possible political rationale? I'm serious. What could any of the nay-voters say in their defense?

Really, this is just :wow: (and :banghead: since they won't be held accountable)

10. We must be careful here.
Remember liberals, progressives and Democrats do not support the troops or provide them with tools of the trade. When John Kerry ran for President we were reminded how many weapon systems he opposed and how he was not funding our troops.

My God look at all those war mongering liberals voting for weapons of war. GOP RW hypocrites have no shame. There is no reason to reject this bill other than moral and financial bankruptcy.

Every American soldier who goes on life support due to catastrophic wounds gives the culture of life proponents a reason to continue on.

12. To put it into the size of headline this SHOULD be IF we had a real media
Only 18 republicans voted to support our troops. 38 republicans voted to screw our troops and let them die.
