TV ad rates are set by the number of viewers

One of my local news stations is featuring spring break in Cancun. Lotsa promos and teasers.

Mucho beer and bikinis in the 6 o'clock newscast. Promises of the "stuff we couldn't show you at 6 will be coming to you at 11."

Sound familiar?
