I sent a letter to CNN about their 'news' coverage
I have had it with their 'news' coverage, so I wrote to them, via their website:

I have had enough of the dumb and thoroughly unnewsworthy runaway bride story. You know, bad things are happening right now in Iraq, it might be nice if you actually covered it. The runaway bride thing is stupid, exploitative and a dumb waste of valuable air time.

Does that about cover it?

3. My message sent to CNN this evening...
Enough already about the "Runaway Bride"!! Have you people totally forgotten what news actually is? How many of our young people died today in the insane war in Iraq? How much money has the Bush family made from that war? How much money have their friends made? What happened to investigative reporting and exposing the truth?

5. The story is all those things, but the only thing CNN cares about
is ratings. So send them a "Dear John" letter like I did a year ago. Little did I know then that they would manage to sink oh so much lower! It's a total abdication of their responsibility and it's total crap.

7. That's a helluva lot more polite than
I plan to be when I send them my own "Dear John" letter tomorrow. I knew CNN was getting bad when I saw how they covered the Schiavo matter and the 24/7 pope-a-thon, but this is jumping a whole ocean full of sharks. I don't know what the fuck has happened to CNN, but they will never have me as a viewer again, no question.

9. I sent one too.
I want to commend you for your brilliant work on the runaway bride incident. The journalistic courage your network displayed in unearthing the truth behind this incident is truly awe-inspiring. Whether it be this case, the Michael Jackson trial, or Terri Schiavo, CNN has shown leadership in daring to offer thorough coverage of matters that impact the everyday lives of Americans. The insights you bring to such issues give your viewers a much deeper understanding of our world, making them better citizens, thus strengthening our democracy. Bravo!
