Jennifer's Eyes Tell Me A Story
Edited on Sun May-01-05 04:17 AM by dbt
Having given up on the Alleged News Networks after the 2004 "Election," I was late in getting to the Wilbanks "abduction" story, but two things LEAPED out at me when I surfed by CNN on Saturday: the EYES of Jennifer Wilbanks! Spooky!

I believe you can learn a lot about a person from just looking into their eyes; for me it works better if it's someone I've never seen before--like Ms Wilbanks. One glance at her gave me the shivers and my first impression was that she (or someone close to her) was faking the abduction.

In her eyes, I see a person who is attempting to carry WAY too much. This poor woman is trying to live up to a set of impossible expectations, whether self-imposed or otherwise. She is flat out TRAPPED by something--or a lot of somethings. For what it might be worth, the "missing" posters pointed her out as 5' 8" and 120 pounds. That would indicate "body issues" right away, no?

And there's no telling what assortment of demons is riding around with her. IMO, it's no wonder she ran!

You should give CNN a call. They'll probably be able to juice you for a half-hour segment. ;)

3. LOL! Thank you, but I still have some shreds of a conscience left.
However, it would be a nice chance to go OFF on that nest of whores for their abject bu$h-butt-kissing. Hmmmmm. Perhaps I will call my agent...

4. I haven't followed the story, but....
...the stare could be the result of a glass eye rather than a reflection of a soul.

I know a tad about it because my younger brother has had a glass eye since age 3 (believe me, I learned very quickly not to ask himtto "keep and eye" on something. :o)

5. Yeah, those eyes are...something else.

I am also a big fan of the idea that you can tell a lot about a person from his or her eyes. It's the Russophile in me. I'm of the firm opinion that serial killers have a very distinct kind of eyes. What kind you ask? Well, broken. I also think Bush Admin people have a specific, identical kind of eyes. How would I describe them? Zealous (also, remorseless--and a little bit vacant). The first impression I got from Wilbanks' eyes, though? CRAZY. As in, lost touch with reality a while back. I mean, the theory in the OP also looks totally believable to me, I just think she has some serious issues percolating inside her brain in addition to the trying-to-carry-too-much problem--possibly how she got to the attempting to carry too much place. Not saying she's a bad person, I've been to the crazy place myself so it's not like I'm judging her, but she's got a few things going on there.

7. I agre completely. My first thought when I saw her eyes. Someone showed
3 pics of her the first day she disappeared. In each one he eyes were identical--I thought unbalanced , instantly. Also looked anorexic. She is 32 and someone reported that she is a nurse. I wonder, but haven't watched TV for 2 days. Saw the news on DU. Can't take anymore of the saga's that CNN seems to live on these days.

8. She does look like she has
serious issues. I have no time for this soap opera.
Last night however I accidently landed on the crime channel and discovered Ruthann Aron for the first time. I wondered why this power crazy nutter, who was Repug candidate for the senate, never got so much MSM attention.
Can anyone give me more info on her.

9. Well, I have no time for this, either.
I just happened by it, and was taken by those eyes. FWIW, the real story here is that the Alleged Media jumped on the Missing White Female bandwagon to the exclusion of every other real news story, as usual!

11. Something that I heard long ago
and that has for the most part been proven true for me is that if you can see the whites of a person's eyes above the iris the person's sanity is in question.
Take a look at Hitler's eyes some time.

12. It's retouched
that's why it looks odd. It's pretty obvious to me there is a white addition above her eye. Just to be sure I copied and took it to a picture editor, doubled the size, and you can plainly see the white addition.

My aunt has Grave's disease, (hyperthyroidism) and her eyes look a little like J.W.'s.

15. I think it is pathetic that DU sinks this low.

The photo that was taken represents about 1/100th of a second in her life. Looking at the results of that one photo, when she could have been startled, tickled, in pain, saddened, reacting to a joke, etc. during that 1/100th of a second, is beyond silly. It's intentional character assasination, IMO.

Making conclusions from less than one quadrillionth of her life about her character, medical condition, honesty, etc., is beneath contempt, IMO.

18. I agree that it's a foolish and empty exercise
People are reasoning backwards, and making a lot of assumptions based on the little that's known of her story. But it ever thus, and DU has its share of gossipers trading opinions over the backyard fence. :D

19. That was my first impression too.
And then I really got chills when I heard the first thing her fiance said when she resurfaced - blathered on and on about God answering prayers and how this was proof that God cared. Plus they're Baptist? I'm wondering if this woman has been abused; thre are a lot of signs.

Someone you would be well advised to watch your back when around. On the surface, a real nice guy, but there is something just under the surface, that may be not so pleasant. You'd never be able to so much as pin one single thing on him. Cunning, sly, but nobody could prove a thing, because he looks so squeaky clean. Sort of the 'all American' kind of guy.

Edit: Something else about this whole thing doesn't pass the sniff test. The police began to search for her before 24 hours had passed. When questioned about this, they claimed to don't have to wait for 24 hour before beginning a search. Has anybody else ever experienced the police being so responsive when an adult goes missing? That is strange to me also. Political connections maybe?
