that theory never made the slightest lick of sense to me - if you're plowing fully loaded planes into the Towers, why the heck would you need to wire the place with explosives?

and how could you not get caught?

and if you DID manage to stuff the place with explosives without being noticed, uh - why not just use the explosives and forget the planes? Leave a convenient van-with-Koran around, Atta passport, etc.

it seems like a red herring in the 9/11 puzzle, like the "Pentagon-wasn't-hit-by-a-plane" theories. Distractions.

WHO and WHY is much more important here than HOW.

the collapse pattern of the towers, they debris fell at free fall speeds (ie the steel rods and concrete floors did not offer any resistance to slow the collapse) the debris were flung in an outward direction; the collapse of bldg 7 in the late afternoon; no steel reinforced concrete building has ever collapse as a result of a fire; there is much more.

Griffin has compiled much research for this book and he does not make any frivolous claims. Even the notion of the Pentagon/missile theory has virtue in that there is extensive documentation that evidence was suppressed. Even if it was really a plane, why did people go to such great lengths to suppress evidence and testimony?

and have been convinced by them exactly zero times.

why bother?

why not use just the planes or just the explosions?

why both?

Just put yourself in the shoes of someone who wants to destroy the towers - why would you need the planes if you had explosives in the building? A massive BOOOOOOOOOM and collapsing towers would have just as much impact, and you wouldn't need to risk losing agents on planes that could be deployed elsewhere.

It just doesn't add up, its bad strategy and poor planning to pursue both plots: it would greatly increase the amount of things that can go wrong and botch the operation.

to make a hollywood type impact, and to focus the psuedo investigation on OBL...You think the CT is bad now , just imagine if only explosions were used...the public would focus like crazy on who had access, and heads would roll, especially after the 93' attempt.

the demo was the needed Measure to make DAMN sure they came down.


The planes cloud the access issue. They were also very useful to bring in the draconian travel security measures.

I've always had the nagging feeling the controlled demolition and pentagon/missile stuff was classic disinfo smokescreenery. And once more, I venture into the clouds...

why, especially after 93? Like I said, they could've done the van/Koran/passport thing anyway that would've been conveniently found within minutes.

spectacular explosions that collapsed both buildings would have PLENTY of hollywood impact... and the public would've focused on revenge, not access - they would've swallowed whatever line Bush fed them in that frenzy.

which heads would roll? and so what? why would the master plotters of 9/11 give a shit about WTC security personnel and their job safety? if they're willing to slaughter thousands, what's a few firings?

Using both planes and explosions makes absolutely no sense tactically. Its boneheaded overkill... "keep it simple, stupid."

Those that pulled this off were extremely cunning - "controlled demolition" in addition to planes is anything but.

And with that, I take my leave. Dead ends do tend not to actually go anywhere.

do you propose they get all those cameras from every imaginable news outlet worldwide...focused on those towers at the perfect time?

the accidental documentary footage of the 1st hit didn't turn up until the next day...

if they used explosives, perhaps by chance a camera in NYC would've caught the first explosion. I'd imagine if they staggered the 2nd explosion slightly, you'd get the 2nd blast on live tv.

and by the time the collapse came around, you would have a million cameras on 'em, making for the same horrific impact.

are you seriously arguing that in the media capital of the world, you WOULDN'T have every video camera in each of the boroughs trained on those buildings after a huge explosion?
