Sen. Allen: Sell Your Home to Survive in Retirement
Senator George Allen (R-VA) may have gotten in a bit over his head, this morning, on Meet the Press. On private accounts, he suggested that Americans might have to sell their homes to survive in retirement. But, that would be a good thing, because they wouldn't have to trim hedges and cut grass, he noted.

1. Just more proof that if you are male, white and have good hair
you can be dumb as a box of rocks and run for President.

2. Allen also announced the chocolate ration would be increased to 20 grams.
Was it possible that they'd swallow it, after only one day?...They swallowed it.

Top Ten all the way for this meatball!

6. Ah yes! Another compassionate conservative!
I hate that asshole. Right. People work their entire lives to pay for a home so they will have a place to live in their old age and he's telling them they may have to sell it? :grr:

13. I don't thinks this is as much about
as much about leaving the elderly homeless.

But more about making sure seniors spend every last penny on things like rent.

leave none for the offspring.

I think this same type of thinking is behind the push for Casinos on evey block.

15. He is such an idiot.
The fool nearly destroyed Virginia when he was Governor, and now he's considered a Presidential front-runner. :banghead:

"U.S. Sen. George Allen, R-Va., has the best chance of capturing the Republican nomination for President in 2008, according to a political magazine's poll of Washington "insiders."

The survey was published in today's National Journal, a respected nonpartisan Washington magazine on government and politics.

According to the magazine, Allen's high ranking was a surprise because he "barely registers" in most public opinion polls, which show former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., as the GOP favorites."

16. If he's thinking about running, he shouldn't.
I sincerely hope that during his re-election bid next year somewhere on the campaign trail, hopefully in front of an inner city audience while the cameras are rolling, someone is going to ask him why as a high school senior he vandalized his school by spray-painting anti-white graffiti on the walls to make the students in his wealthy Southern California community think they were being targeted by blacks. Then, while he's still stumbling trying to explain that one, perhaps someone will ask him to explain the noose he proudly displayed in his law office or the Confederate flag he used as living room decor. While those facts would probably give the average repuke in Virginia more reasons to vote for the ass, they might be enough to keep him off a national ticket.

17. Forgive Me, Sir...
But is that not akin to a "death tax"? Would it not strip many Americans of what they have worked the greatest part of a lifetime to gain and pass on to the next generation so it can start off better than the last...?
