2. A letter to rep or marching is not going to change it
The people are powerless to change anything . . . Kerry should have ran on the platform that he would bring the troops home as soon as he was in office and if whoever runs in 08 does not run on such a platform, they will loose.

Hearing about bombs going off, Irag's dying or American GI's or even seeing the coffins coming home does not affect real change, as bad as I feel about the number of killed soldiers and the war in general, I know I am powerless to do anything about it; even the vote is rigged.

We the people no longer have any power; it is hopless. We are lost.

7. Kerry did enough to win. The PNAC criminals and their
corpo-nazi GANG$TER$ $TOLE the People (and still do...)

I felt A LOT like you between 1968 and 1975. I was not the only one.

The tide turned much later than it seems about to turn now.

(it's from the bought 'n $old media whore$, so the true ones must be over 60%)

Never give up hope. Write and march is how it turned then.

To write and to march is how it's turning now (a little "faster").

The good ones always won over the bad one$ in the end.

3. Very sad.
How many more must die? How many more tears must be shed before
America awakens and demands the return of the men and women whose
job it is to protect them rather than their leader's interest?
- Tim Predmore
101st Airborne Division near Mosul, Iraq

And I hope this person on another board (can't find the link directly to the quote) -- www.vaiw.org -- doesn't mind:

I don't wish harm to bu$h or his handlers. But, let them live in the misery of the moment of combat for the rest of their days on this earth. Let them feel the excitement of battle, then the huge letdown when things calm. The emptyness (sic) when friends are killed and you don't really have time to mourn them. Let the bu$h regime wake up in sand, cold as hell at night, hot as it in the day time. Wondering if you'll ever get another warm shower or a hot meal. Let them live in that misery for the rest of their miserable lives. And when they come back to this country, reject them. Let them know that no one really has anymore use for them, except as soldiers. Let them be rejected for doing the most honorable thing they can do with their lives. Serve their country honorably. bu$h doesn't know what that is. Let them feel what those who have experienced war feels.
- TexasVietVet, VAIW.org

Or as the neocons see it:

The story of what we've done in the postwar period is remarkable. ... It is a better and more important story than losing a couple of soldiers every day.
- George Nethercutt (R-WA)

There are some who, uh, feel like that, you know, the conditions are such that they can attack us there. My answer is: bring 'em on. We got the force necessary to deal with the security situation."
- George W. Bush, July 2, 2003

just lost a loved one too. Somehow I don't think she'll get a big fancy funeral with a nice new flag.
