Bush attack talking points on our blogs, sites, etc.
Edited on Thu Sep-18-03 08:14 AM by Woodstock
Lots of us have blogs or sites supporting candidates/attacking Bush. In Clinton's speech last weekend he gave several talking points to educate the public. He said don't do it with rancor, just let them know what is going on, because they don't know.

What I'm thinking is it would be cool if every blog puts a sticky post of the anti-Bush talking points, kind of a concerted underground campaign. Preferably succinct sound bite type of sentences - short and sweet. Maybe 10 things that people don't know about the Bush Admin, that if they did, they'd not like. And then we suggest that everyone tells at least 5 people who don't know these things who about them.

One talking point I remember Clinton said: They want to do away with/make it harder to get student loans (forget the number, this would be good to add.) I'm going to listen to Clinton's speech again on CSPAN to get the others, maybe someone remembers?

During one debate, the Fox guy said 70% of people like the Patriot Act. That struck me as odd - assuming he wasn't lying through his teeth, why? Quite clearly, it's the NAME. They don't know what it is, but IT SOUNDS GOOD. So one has to be about the Patriot Act.

Has someone already come up with a list like this? What are some more talking points?

1. Nice post Woodstock
We should listen to the big dog. Joe Conason is very good and getting his points across without rancor. It is the smart thing to do.

2. One point to hammer
This should become an oft repeated mantra: Bush is in way over his head.
