2. That will mean that the democrats will have to retake control...
...of the house and the senate in 2006, plus regain a few more governorships around the country. And that will require coalitions with non-democrates by the democratic party. I wonder if Dean is moving the party toward that?

5. As long as that bastard Delay runs the house . ..
they ain't a-gonna impeach themselves.

What needs to happen is to place the utmost scrutiny and watchdogging on the voting process. Make sure every vote is correct, counted and genuine. As long as you have uber-partisans controlling the votes, there will never be even a remote hint of democracy in this country anymore.

8. Do you think
we actually have a chance to regain a majority in the House? That's not the way I see it, currently. But even if we do, what are the odds we'll have 67 Senators to convict?

3. As long as the voting machines remain in place as is, NOTHING
can stop Bush. No matter who replaces Bush from among the Republicans will win no matter what the pre-election polls or the exit polls or any other polls say, no matter what common sense says, no matter what anybody anywhere says. None of this matters.

The only thing that matters is who counts the votes, and in America right now, that means the farthest right wing elements. And they do it in secret with no effective means of auditing what they do. In other words, the far right will choose our government in the future just as they've been doing since 02.

7. This is what Rep. Peter King blurted out while tipsy
before the 2004 election. It's on video. Why weren't people (including Republicans) outraged by this? Are we just a country of lackadaisical yawners?

6. you shave it, and it grows back. I've heard there is a laser treatment
that kills the follicles, but that sounds expensive. Sorry, just trying to throw humor in.

until then please don't give up hope- though i share your dispair-

"As Harry Chapin said, "If we don't act
like there's hope, there is no hope." And remember, placebos work."
