Do you care if we get Bin Laden? I think it's bigger than
that, but our country could go nuts if that happens. No, soldiers wouldn't come home, but it could appease people.

1. I hope they do get him, maybe it would help the familes of 9/11
but i don't think it will reduce terror and change anything going on in Iraq at all.

2. It was never about him
We could rid the world of whatever it is that Al Qaeda is, and we're still not leaving.

Very true. If they do catch him they'd make some excuse to stay.

3. Since about 50% of the sheeple in this country........
believe that Saddam was the mastermind behind 9/11, will it really matter to them?

Even * said "I don't really think about him anymore". So then, it follows that why should the American Repugs care about him?

The Neo-cons will bring him out when they deem it is neccessary to further their political base and not before.

15. * Said That Because Bin Laden Was Still At Large - But Wait Till They.....
catch him. They'll say that * was the reason that he was caught - and that * never took his eye off the goal of catching BL. They'll say * is making us safe. * will wind up the big winner on this. Rove will make this "war" president a god.

5. Do you think he's still alive?
He looked pretty sickly in one of those videos way back when - kidney something or other? Could be he's living large in a palace in Saudi Arabia somewhere. It's been about six months since his most recent video release in late October and not a peep since - funny how that works.

7. He supposedly has been on dialysis since 9/11....
how could he have that sort of care in a cave in Afghanistan? Something fishy has been going on.

Yes, I would like to see him arrested and tried for the crimes his organization has commited but is there more to this than meets the eye? Maybe I need one of these :tinfoilhat: ?????

28. Well to most Americans
sadly--one person of mideastern descent looks the same as another.
They could prop anyone up with a beard and make the sheeple believe that it is OBL, and they would eat it up.
The real one doesn't have to be alive to do that.

Edited on Fri May-06-05 05:31 PM by TWriterD
and with Saddam the token terrorist behind bars, many Americans seem to be appeased. OBL is the bogeyman and Al-Zarqawi is supposedly ill. Ah, the attempts to manipulate never end...

6. If he's guilty.. --dons tin foil hat--
If Bin Laden did have something to do with 9/11 then yes I would like to see him stand trial. Along with anyone else involved. Which is possibly why he hasn't been caught. Maybe he knows something...

32. Ummm, hasn't he claimed responsibility?
to me, that constitutes a "confession", and since he wasn't in police custody when he made it, it's pretty solid evidence that he did have something to do with it....at least in my book...

8. I think the guy is a mass murderer who,
if alive, should be brought to justice for his crime, for the sake of everyone, especially those who lost family on 9/11. However, it won't change anything. Not here and most definitely not in the Middle East. It's so much bigger than UBL.

As long as bush can make hay by saying the bogeyman's in your closet or under your bed, he won't be officially "caught".

Sleep tight. Mwahahahahahaaaaa!....

19. I don't think anyone will get OBL alive.
I think he will comit suicide before he would let that happen.

Sure, the ShrubCo supporters will make a capture (dead or alive) a big event, and I guess it is. I guess they deserve their 15 minutes of glory. But I also think it could prove to be a red herring. Al Qaeda won't go away, and maybe people will finally realize the problems are not "one man", but lots of people hat the US because of their intrusion into the middle east where they just don't belong!

22. Bush doesn't have any more elections.
They may catch him to help with votes for the mid-terms. If Bush were up for an election I would say, No, they won't catch him! They need him as a boogie man to scare people.

That was, do I think they will catch him. Do I care? I don't know anymore. I guess I do. He is the villain.

23. Not really.....
Getting OBL would be "symbolic" at best. Certainly it would be a media "frenzy" and according to MSM the most important thing to happen since sliced bread.

Yes they should get him... but in the grand scheme of things... I don't think it will really matter.

the effect bin laden will have on my life...about nothing, the effect bushco has had and will have and potentially could have on my life is about 10,000 times what bin laden could have ever hoped for.
