Poll question: Are US Mainstream Media Journalists Afraid Of Being Murdered
by the Bush administration?

This poll is in reference to the Secret Downing Street Memo that the US MSM has almost completely ignored. For any MSM journalists that are not aware of this memo, it can be found here:

Snip

Make no mistake: The Bush Administration and its ideological allies are employing every means available to undermine journalists' ability to exercise their First Amendment function to hold power accountable. In fact, the Administration recognizes no such constitutional role for the press. White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card has insisted that the media "don't represent the public any more than other people do.... I don't believe you have a check-and-balance function."

3. You don't have to look for a conspiracy to explain the MSM...
"journalists" obsession with celebrity gossip and sexually titillating crime reporting. They work in a for-profit industry, and the product they put out has to "sell."

It really isn't any more complicated than that; they're whores and they service the John that's paying.

I finally got tired of hearing this brought up and want to show everyone something that I have found out.

There are many reasons individuals are not doing more to fix our problems. The most important thing to remember is everything is questionable but you have to have the strength to actually question it.The strength of an individual is not something that remains consistent through out their lives, nor does it dictate to us the ability to change what is wrong. It is the obstacles that must be overcome in order to create conditions for change.

The widow of the Florida man who became the first victim of the 2001 anthrax attacks filed suit Wednesday against the federal government, claiming that lax security at a U.S. Army lab led to his death.

Maureen Stevens, the widow of tabloid photo editor Bob Stevens, is seeking $50 million.

8. Reporting what's important would not be a good career move.
Those people in top positions would not be in top positions if they were not career oriented.
