It seems to be much more about the cult of personality around the Chimperor than it is about party label per se, from what little I read of that incident.

On edit, I've now watched the video. The anchorwoman refers to Kerry and the Democratic Party, but one of the members thrown out says in his interview that he was told to support * or resign his position. He said it was about *. I still say it is a cult around * which would not translate to another more reasonable figure in that party. I can't imagine, for instance, these kinds of pastors drawing the same 'line in the sand' for Bob Dole.

But, regardless, they are no longer a church if they do something like that. They should lose their IRS exemption.

I just wanted to point out the growing hostility and divisions in this country.

the republican party has become a Chimp personality cult in many places, and to many republicans. The question will be: how completely will these cultists take over the party?

(honestly -- what gets me is, how can THAT personality inspire a cult??)
