Send British Leaked Memo To Everyone You Know - I Did

As Greg Palast says this is the smoking gun. It really is time to go ballistic. We have got to put as much pressure down on this one as possible. Get out your email list and send this memo and accompanying commentary to everyone on your list. Yeah send it to your Repugnuts also. And tell everyone to contact their Congresscritters and ask if they will support Conyers letter calling for an investigation. I did. Fortunately my Congressman, Harold Ford, Jr. is one of the 88 signatures to the Conyers letter, but nevertheless his office was grateful to hear of my support and appreciation. Write letters to the editor. I did. But I doubt they will publish it because I accused them of rolling over and playing dead. Folks we finally have in black and white the incriminating evidence we have all been waiting for. The White House can and will spin this one like a top, but they can't refute the meaning, intent, or legitimacy of this document. Say this over and over and over again "Bush Lied Our Troops and Innocent People Died". The lie now deserves the ultimate penalty - IMPEACHMENT. Too bad it can't be worse.

And ask them why you discovered this before they did!!!

Here we have a blockbuster story and they roll over on it. Well not for long. Knight Ridder picked it up and it will likely be covered in all their publications.

Send it to the national media list.

I am pretty sure that everyone in the media already knows about this. It has been out for 6 days now, and the media is either trying to ignore it or cover it up. The British press had it Sunday, The blogsphere picked it up Monday, Knight Ridder picked it up this morning and Reuters, Yahoo and others picked it up this afternoon when Rep. Conyers sent his letter to the Prez. We need to shame the rest of them them into publishing this for those who are not in the media. I am sure that the NY Times and WaPo know about it but they will not publish until enough people ask "Why are you protecting that lying president of ours?"

but if all 60 thousand duers send this to the national media list, if we put it on every message board around the internet, send it to every poiltican around the world, they would have to take notice.

I don't know how long I've been on DU and another place, but I remember sharing with many the conclusion that the invasion was planned and inevitable - that going to Congress and the UN was a sham. So, I don't feel as good as one would if they could shout out the famous words - I TOLD YOU SO! No, I am pained....because so many knew and could see what was going on - but our Dems leaders (most of them) could not. They played along with the charade. The only conclusion that can be reached from their vote is that they wanted this invasion because we can't be smarter than they are. Right? I don't buy the WMD excuse. If we knew, how could they not know? You all know who I mean because I have screamed out their names on DU for months...years?

I cannot read the memo right now...I have to wait and let the pain dissipate. Strangely, my human nature is in reverse...I've been angry all this time because so many allowed this to occur when they had the same clues and insights we had...it was there in the little announcements, opinions, and little feelers they put out....stuff that came out in the news that showed the positioning. Most of all, the rhetoric and prep work.

So, I'm too pained to read it right now. The release of this info is way too late in world history. How many of the spouses, parents, or children of the dead are going to read it in English and Arabic? Will they feel better? Add read it in Farsi, because pretty soon it's going to be them, the people who speak Farsi. The only hope for Iranians and maybe Syrians is time...we're nearing the shift time...when the economy has to magically improve and the dirt is swept under - we're coming up on the next election peak date.

Long live Paul Wellstone - First and last vote in the Senate was against Iraq War 1 and Iraq War 2. Good job, Paul. May your spirit live forever. Do some more good work for the survival of our country and our planet.

I too have suffered with the belief from the get go that this whole foray into Iraq, in fact the entire "war on terrorism" has been one gigantic sham. Day after day I live with the pain and frustration of watching this tragedy unfold and feel helpless and powerless to do anything about it. That said, we must take heart that at least there still exist some true patriots (in this case probably British)who had the courage to expose the "smoking gun". Also, take heart by the fact that 88 Congressman have fixed their signatures to a letter calling for an immediate investigation. This was done of very short notice. There will be more, many more. This is as close as we have yet come to having unspinnable irrefutable evidence that the war was pre-planned and the evidence fabricated. Yes we have had many respected people come forward who have alleged this to be the case. But this is the first time that we have a written document confirming it. Perhaps I am truly the cock-eyed optimist but I do believe we now have the rolling snowball going down the hill. It will gain momentum and grow in size until it becomes an avalanche. Those that remember Watergate will know what I am talking about. But unlike Watergate this scandal is much deeper and insidious. Watergate never killed anyone. Which is why it is going to take great pressure from the American people to see that justice is served even if it has to be done with the greatest amount of pain.
My friend keep your chin up and fight through the pain. I think a brighter day may just be around the corner. Let's all pray to God that this be so.
