OK, now it is really time to bring the troops home!!!

No one really knows how many hundred (or thousand?) Iraqi people have been killed in just the last few days--reporters don't dare to get around in that country anymore. No one knows exactly how many U.S. soldiers have been killed either, because Rumsfeld's Pentagon finds clever ways to keep to the official "killed in Iraq" stat misleadingly low. And what about all the troops coming home horribly maimed, and I live near an army base and we have plenty here. And plenty of military families who are sick and tired of it. The way the Bush Administration's oil grabbing operations are going, they will need a draft very soon--the military recruiters are getting totally desperate. Right now, the army is threatning to send my pretty cousin Sarah off to Iraq before she even completes her nurses training...they're just so desperate for soldiers in "transportation" now. She'd make a great nurse for the wounded, but considering her driving, I don't like the thought of her driving through a minefield. Neither does she.

I have a little anti-war internet radio station (musicians, let me know and I'll get you in!)

I'm glad for the protestors and activists who steadfastly opposed the the Bush Administration's endless war policy through thick and thin. I think we've reached the point where it's time to break out into a full-scale groovy multi-cultural peace movement like what took form in the 1960's. The scepticism of young people has reached a point where something energetic and consciousness-raising can happen.

And the Bush Administration is also getting ready to attack Iran...lets really get some alternative culture going strong this summer! Within such a counter culture we can share our knowledge even if the corporate media monopolies refuse to print or broadcast a lot of the most important stuff.

1. Any ladies in the house concerned about possibilities of being drafted?

2. The army is an "equal opportunity employer" now
So yes, young women should be just as concerned!
