I just called Dr. Cameron's office and the lady there told me it's a hoax!!!!!! Somebody better clear this up and fast.

People on here are saying that I have something against Andy or I should be ashamed of myself for questioning this. Well, I think DUers should be ashamed of themselves for NOT questioning it. I'm just asking a question that HAS TO BE ASKED if money and the credibility of DU is involved. Call the number and then start asking some questions so that this can be cleared up and FAST!

I hope that it's not a hoax and that it's completely above board, but it doesn't mean that we shouldn't ask hard questions when the office of the who is supposed to perform the surgery says it's a hoax.

People say that this is not Andy's doctor and I am very pleased to eat crow for being wrong. However, I still hope that DUers will require complete accountability for this issue and every other issue where money is involved.

I'm not accusing anyone of anything. I'm just repeating what I heard when I called the number. I haven't given money because I'm leery of internet sob stories, especially when I have my own that I could share, but I invite you to call the number.

Calling the office gets you nothing because they are not at liberty to share information about patients.

When my brother was in the hospital, they would not tell me anything, not even that he was indeed there! You have to get info from family. Hospitals WILL NOT ADMIT a persons existence.

I was in Ohio last weekend and spent some time with Andy. I have been in chat rooms about Election Reform with some of the people who have been working their asses off on fundraising for Andy. I do not believe that they are all in on a scam.

You are surprised that JH won't give out info on a patient? IT IS CALLED CONFIDENTIALITY. If they were giving out info to ANYBODY who called apart from immediate family I would be livid. This is the last thing Andy needs to go through with all that he is facing. Shame on you.

Not that I know anything about this but doctors and hospitals do give general information without anything personal.

I am an RN for a private surgical practice. It is ILLEGAL and against federal regulations to discuss any patient issue with anyone else, other than a authorized person, such as next of kin, or someone that the patient has authorized.

I would SERIOUSLY like to know where you got your BULLSHIT, because that's what it is... BULLSHIT. ( THis is directed to the OP )

Then we'd be seeing threads on DU screaming "Hospital Violates Patient Confidentiality!"
