How does Europe like being preached to by George.
Maybe he missed his calling, maybe it's just me, but Bush ALWAYS sounds like he's talking from a church pulpit. I have a hair trigger about being preached to by anyone, with a few exceptions when it's about something that i'm interested in, so i try to do a reality check when I hear * these days, even with a double check, I have to say, objectively speaking, * really sounds preachy, and sing-songy, repeating his memorized phrases, sounds a little less like he's reading all of the time now, but more like the most boring preacher I ever heard.

Is it a good idea to lecture Europe/Russia in this preachy manner? I'm embarassed by this style; it belittles others.

What do you think?

3. When Bush passes away to the great beyond.
He will be assaulted by Truman, FDR, and Churchill at the Pearly Gates. Who knows, Adolph and Uncle Joe may be there for laughs.

4. As a European
Bush comes across as being sincerely insincere.

His nodding head during each pause seems to imply "Do you get it now?"

Its as if we're all children and he has arrived with the truth to educate us. He has unique access to the ways of the world and we are stuck in the past. And he seems to get utterly exasperated with anyone asking challenging questions, as if "Did you not just get what i just said"

"I have unique access to the truth and if you don't understand the truth there's something wrong with you."

Pol Pot was alledged to have said.

His style is actually highly ammusing and perversly refreshing.

7. His comments on a divided Europe qualify him as the ultimate

revisionist. His Yale education was a complete waste. You have come to close to his essence. This man is certifiable as a "Narcissistic Personality Disorder" now that he has attained high office he qualifies as a "Megalomaniac".

10. "Did you not just get what i just said" - Right!
complete with thse little pauses, and careful slower repetition of whatever Rovian buz phrases, slowly, with his smirking pleasure at the "cleverness" and intellectual credentials of what is nothing more than a shell game, part of their whole narcissistic, tragi-dramatic, paternalistic, bullshit, Armageddon Opera.

Condecension is hard enough to take from one's intellectual betters or peers, but, from a dummy, it is particularly provoking.

5. Wouldn't this be a little like Putin...
...beginning a 4th of July visit to the U.S. by addressing the Sioux and the Cheyenne nations and reminding the world of the irony of the fact that the self-proclaimed beacon of liberty to the world had once endorsed a policy of manifest destiny that was nothing more than a genocidal land-grab? I seem to recall a maxim that mentioned something about glass houses and those who live in them.

9. There were annual Land Rush celebrations in Oklahoma.
Edited on Tue May-10-05 08:53 PM by patrice
I went to one with some people representing the organized 5 Nations, headed up by Cherokees at the time, I think, and Wilma Mankiller. Their acronym was INCOG if I remember right. They met the Governor, a senator, and a couple of mayors at the Land Rush Museum near a small OIL town just west of Tulsa (which I can't remember the name of right now); they stood silently as the dignitaries arrived, some in Land Rush costumes, for their luncheon at the museum. Russel Means was with us and several of the young men were on their horses and dressed in traditional Native American garb. There were about 50-70 Indians, who did a Spirit Walk from Tulsa to that ughly little oil-town, to witness to their perspective on the Land Rush "Celebration".

Genocide is not something anyone should ignore. This nation is poisoned by genocide and slavery in its history.

That'd be cool; I hope Putin does that.
