Is all that keeps us from democracy the media establishment?
If it is we have almost reached a point where we don't need them... Where do our leaders get their information? More then likely the TV news, since perception is reality in republicanland, no memo means what memo.

Any thoughts?

1. people in general are profoundly stupid
about edumicating themselves in depth on any topic. Many many people look to news media as authoritarian truth, and those people are who are targeted by the people who manipulate the media.

And we know that scandal buys viewership and sells advertising, and that is really the ONLY reason that broadcast organizations exist to begin with.

WE don't need them, but they still have a profound impact on the knuckleheads who think that the news is the final word on everything.

2. I agree
However, I believe that most will hopelessly remain knuckleheads due to the fact that they are so incredibly busy just making ends meet working several jobs and can only hope and dream to have enuf time to be able to log and surf onto sites that offer the real news. I feel lucky to have the time to investigate things for myself. Many of you feel the same,I'm betting. And I believe that there are many of us, who weren't that politically involved until we got really sick of the Shrub and co. and what he's done to the world. One good silver lining to the stolen election(s) is that it has really opened up the eyes to at least some of the average folx, and they are hopping mad!!

3. People including myself are profoundly dumb...
They also don't like to be lied to, as long as they don't know they are being lied to they don't know there is a problem!
