Carly Fiorina speech, 5/7/05: "My fellow job seekers ..."
http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercurynews/news/local/11617445.htm

Carly Fiorina, former chief executive of Hewlett-Packard, spoke publicly for the first time about some of the insults and obstacles she has experienced as a woman in the male-dominated business world -- including being introduced by a former boss as a ``token bimbo'' and going to a strip club for a customer meeting.

On Saturday, Fiorina was the commencement speaker at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, where she addressed an audience of 14,500. She received a standing ovation after the speech. They were her first public comments since she was ousted from HP in February.

Fiorina was asked to speak before she was fired from Palo Alto-based HP. She said she called the chancellor of the university after she lost her HP job and asked if the school still wanted her as its commencement speaker. Chancellor James Renick replied that she probably had more in common with the students than she did before. ``I've been working on my résumé,'' she joked in the speech. ``I've been lining up my references. I bought a new interview suit. If there are any recruiters here, I'll be free around 11.''

Fiorina, 50, never liked to talk about herself -- or about navigating through a male-dominated business world -- during her nearly six years at HP. But she was relaxed and open in her comments to the students, whom she addressed as ``my fellow job seekers,'' according to text of the remarks distributed by a Fiorina spokeswoman.

2. I had high hopes for her to succeed at HP.
Until it became clear how much she loved outsourcing and everything that is bad for American workers.

4. oh boo hoo
She cost me thousands of dollars I didn't have to lose. She can drop dead for all I care. If she couldn't make it on her ill-gotten gains and has to make speeches for an extra ten thousand dollars an hour, then too bad, so sad.

The time to speak out about industry increasingly shutting women out of business meetings/positions by having business functions at strip clubs was when she could do something about it. The woman is incompetent and was rewarded with millions. The last thing she needs is another job where stock-holder or anybody else's money might be involved. Some of us actually need money for such things as to put food on the table!

The conservation movement is a breeding ground of communists
and other subversives. We intend to clean them out,
even if it means rounding up every birdwatcher in the country.

5. Fuck this heart-less biznatch.
"Fellow job seekers" my ASS!! Like this despicable, offshoring-happy dickhead is starving or worried about bills because the good ol' career path they told us to go into has gone the way of the factory worker offshore; all because her kind just isn't RICH or POWERFUL ENOUGH? Who gives a FUCK what you think, Carly? Is YOUR career being shipped overseas because "no job is America's God given right anymore"? Do YOU have to worry about your future or retirement, you self-righteous shitbag? Until that happens, call me; otherwise, impale yourself and make sure your simian boyfriend there joins you.

8. Excuse me, if I don't shed a tear for Carly...
She played the game, and she was well rewarded for it. I doubt that we will see Carly filling out a medicaid application anytime soon.

So now phase two of her "career" beckons. The Martyrs' Public Speaking Circuit.. I am sure that there will be women's groups all over the place who will be willing to PAY her even more money to give them advice on "How to succeed in a man's world"..:puke:
