Poll question: Rate the credibility gap, now that the Sunday dust has settled.
From 10--meaning metaphysical distrust--to 1--meaning 'the public has already forgotten. (With apologies to John McLaughlin)

2. I gave it a 5........
Just right in the middle. This whole thing could go one of two ways......under the invisible rug or into a huge debate in the Congress. The coming days will be telling.......

I suspect the American people who are kind of feeling a little jostled from their long sleep are hoping it will go away...but kind of tentative about that. We need something startling to seal this.

3. My hope is that the media will start to examine his other claims.
The UAVs and the Al Qaeda 'link.' Not to mention the economic voodoo.

6. Me too, Dag
I still have the feeling that the great Murican public isn't outraged yet. Maybe if the families of dead soldiers start getting more press, AND if they are pissed.
I'm still completely non-plussed by friends who kind of sheeple along and think we should support our president. Rah rah wave-old-glory, my country, right or wrong.
Could go either way.

5. As I said, "with apologies to John McLaughlin!"
He may be a blowhard, but I have an irrational soft spot for the old Jesuit.
