Is It Just Me Or Is Our President A Bit TOO Freaking Relaxed???
Edited on Fri May-13-05 09:12 AM by DistressedAmerican
How the hell could they not inform the guy? Federal employees are fleeing into the street and they didn't even think it was worth mentioning???

I read this morning that they were within minutes (possibly seconds) of shooting the plane down. You'd think that the president would be in the loop on such things?

Not that I'd personally want him making such decisions!

Why not tell him? Oh right, remember what he did last time he was given the info...

It Is Becoming Quite Clear That This Event Was Staged For The Media
Bush was in the loop the whole time because Rove cooked up the incursion.

One of the pilots was a * supporter in 2004.

Better check his bank account to see how much the payoff was.

... as perfectly acceptable, perfectly OK, nothing-to-see-here move-along-now.

Is Bush the Commander in Chief or not? Well, we have our answer: No, he is not.

It's that simple.

9. Shrub's Numbers suck...
and Rove knows that NOBODY pays attention to the Kandy Kolored Terror Alert Scares anymore (since they cried wolf SOOOOOO many times during the '04 election), so now Rove is cooking up 'direct threats' to *

These come to mind:

The rogue plane over DC that turned out to be a cloud.

The pinecone/grenade scare in Georgia.

The stray Cessna over DC this week.

Rove is trolling for sympathy numbers from the public.

13. Remember, on 9/11 Cheney actually ordered one of the planes shot down
But was quickly dissuaded by his wife and Condi.

Do not have any false impressions about who is really in charge.

17. No further need of him
He has spent his entire time in the WH on AF-I in campaigning, fund raising, playing his part of the script as directed by Cheney, Rove, Card, etc. He only has to read his 3-4 lines of his scripts for SS privatization, Bolton, Judges script, etc.

He can now ride his bike, milk his horse, take tours around the world, etc. Cheney and the big boys will finish off the job of destroying our republic.

16. We're in the middle of fighting 2 wars and in the middle of a workday
Edited on Fri May-13-05 09:38 AM by Jim__
our "leader" goes for a 2 hour ride on his bicycle. While he's out riding, the capital is evacuated because of a severe security risk in which we consider shooting down an American civilian plane - my understanding is that only the president has the authority to authorize this. But nobody thinks to tell the president. Let's face it, why bother? What could he possibly contribute to the decision making process?

Is he too relaxed? What difference does it make?
