Idea for weapon in fight against recruitment of our youth into military
We know about the 14 permanent bases being built in Iraq. We know that combined with the domestic base closures that this means that 10's of thousands of military personel will be permanently stationed in Iraq. We know that the anti-American hosilities are not going to get better in the Middle East for a LONG time to come.

LETS DISSEMINATE THIS INFORMATION.

Everyone who protests the presence of military recruiters on collage campuses and the halls of high schools should flood those campuses with flyers with this info. Everyone who protests their local recruitment center should be armed with protest signs with this info.

Obviously, no right thinking person is going to (if it were even possible) to move their family to Iraq. There is no place incountry to R&R. There are no nightclubs for week-end liberty to let off steam and get layed. WHO THE 'F' WOULD JOIN IF THEY KNEW THIS????

3. What I forgot to say in my OP
WE know all of the things mentioned in my OP, but the average Joe/Jane doesn't know these things. Disseminating this info would not only reach the ears of those who may be considering the military for various reasons, but alot of others as well. Most people do not know about the permanent bases being built in Iraq, and this would be a good way to begin to spread the word.

In the up coming '06 & '08 elections, we don't want repugs who are dissatisfied with * to feel that they are going to get anything different from any other repub candidate that runs as a candidate. Make this part of the political discussion, "Do you support the building of 14 permanent military bases in Iraq?" "How can you talk about an exit strategy from Iraq when you are supporting the failed foreign policies of bush concerning the Middle East?"

4. Families would not go to Iraq
It is insane to think that the US Military would allow families to accompany soldiers stationed in Iraq, a hostile country. Families didn't live on permanent facilities in Vietnam. I was an Air Force brat and grew up in places like Germany and Guam, but these were not hostile areas.
