I avoid Imus like the plague.

The phrase "jumped the shark" should have been invented for him. He likes to tread the tired racist/anti-racist, sexist/anti-sexist themes, and he's completely lost what little edge he ever had.

Plus, he is JUST NOT AMUSING. That's the kiss of death. You can piss people off, you can outrage, you can offend, but you MUST AMUSE. He doesn't cut it anymore.

He needs a quick reinvention, or he'll slide away into obscurity. That orange set on MSNBC isn't doing it, but at least he has stopped complaining about the air quality in his old studio.

Anus is a go-along/get-along suck-up who plays the "friendly asshole" on the radio. He's survived 30 years in the craziest radio market by knowing who to blow and how to blow 'em. He plays a role and no one's the wiser...and his listeners don't care.

Personally, Anus is far better than the right wing hate mongers that dominate the dial...and this dude does get some big names to pop on, but he's never been an "interviewer", and his antics with his hyenas...the morning zoo shtick...wears thin unless you are on Viagra.

He used to be the ratings winner for MSGOP...but that was by default as the other networks sucked, too. They still do, but they suck with more viewers. I guess Rick Kaplan sent a memo for Anus to suck with the best of 'em and Quackie Don is trying his best.

And she is a lovely woman, environmentally active, cares about kids' health, but I suppose her weakness was a ****rich**** old guy that she figured wouldn't live as long as he has, given his drug and boozing history!

I agree that he is better than most of the clowns that are on radio, but that says little. The sophmoric shit is just getting over the top, IMHO, and distracts from the serious issues. A little bit too much 'testosterone-clowning,' and not enough interviewing. But that's just my take, I guess some people like that sexist, racist shit that he always decries well AFTER the fact, and that is put down to "good fun."

I just don't go for that stuff...it's like having to get your wedding ring out of a poop-filled sewer bare-handed--you want the ring back, but you could do without the shit on your hands...the political interviews CAN be good, but you have to put up with all that crap to hear them.

he went to Walter Reed Hospital with Mcain and came back yelling how instead of using millions of $$$ for the inaugeration that $$$ should be spent on a new wing at WR for wounded vets?? I mean he talked about it, goading other rich bastids like himself to all fork over a few million each. So I watched this A.M waiting to see if poopy's magic boatride would make him forget to bitch about the closing of Walter Reed...and voila, not one peep from the BFEE whore!
