"This is how liberty dies -- with thunderous applause."
Do we need this magnificent line spoken by Padme Amidala, in "Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith," on billboards? Would this help any of the people wake up to what ending the filibuster means, or relegating separation of church and state to the time of the Founders', or lying us into war? Have our schools completely failed to educate our citizens on the abstract concept of liberty? God knows, our press is not going to educate the people, as it eventually did when it drove home the point that Richard Nixon was messing with the Constitution itself.

I'd like to see a national discussion on this concept, and on the dangerous imbalance in the balance of power, prompted by something, or someone, somehow.

2. The only difference in a galaxy far, far away,
is that the state destroys the church. Other than that, it's spot-on. I can't wait to see Episode III.

3. Bad guys don't always wear black.
If they all dressed like Darth Vader, they'd be easy to spot.

4. exactly. this is why the hitler comparisons fail
people think of hitler purely as a genocidal monster. they fail to realize that he had very strong support from roughly the same percentage of germans that bush has of americans, and that people did not recognize him as a monster until it was far too late.

if only bush had a square mustache and an armband....

So true. Sometime watch a Hitler Youth rally. My God. All those blonde hair kids looking at Hitler with sparkles in their eyes. Simply amazing and disgusting.
