From this day on, every single news story printed about this war
by each and every media outlet needs to carry the following disclaimer: The White House and/or Pentagon has reviewed this article, and has chosen not to respond

2. It isn't needed
The state media only praises Our Dear Leader's every move. It would be better to caption the news, "Cleared by White House Censors."

4. I must disagree
Newsweek provided the Pentagon with an advance copy of this story.

Now the Pentagon, along with the White House, is trying to pretend it didn't happen.

9. The *real* question in all of this...
Is "How many middle easterners read Newsweek?"

Especially, the American Edition?

Not many... Plus, I doubt the issue in question had
even hit the stands in rural Afghanistan.

5. "This Article cleared by GOP Censors"
Screw our "News Media" with a splintery fence post.

Rove: "Recant your story, or face the WRATH of the Bush Inquisiton!"

Media: "Oh, NO! Ohmigawd, NOT our precious ACCESS! PLEASE Mr. Rove, don't take our precious ACCESS away! We can't LIVE without the daily dingleberries from Scotty Mac's asshole!"
