1. I voted for the Democratic ticket.
Along with the majority of the electorate. At the time, that ticket included Joe Lieberman.

6. No. Not quite.
It would be more accurate to say that the presence of Lieberman on the ticket didn't prevent me from voting for Al Gore.

I would have voted for an Al Gore/Zel Miller ticket, had that option been the only viable alternative to Bush/Cheney.

14. Ummm, given that VP is a package with Presidential ticket
I think this is extremely misleading. I certainly didn't vote FOR Lieberman. I voted FOR GOre and AGAINST Bush. Lieberman was the unfortunate "bonus."

In many states, the LT. Governor is also a separate elected position. In that event, it would make sense to draw conclusions as to whether the voter really supported that candidate. Where they are part of the package, it really DOES NOT.

15. Ummm, does that mean you voted for Gore even though you did not...
...trust his judgement? Afterall, he chose his own running mate.

16. No, Don it does not in any way mean...
that I voted for Gore even though I did not trust his judgement. I appreciate the complexities involved in appealing to a significantly wide base to become elected in this country. I believe then and do now, that Gore believed that Lieberman could help him appeal to that wider audience. I don't totally disagree with that assessment, while I do NOT support Lieberman. If forced, would I support him over Bush? Well, that would not seem like any kind of choice, but yes. I do agree with Lieberman on SOME issues, while I disagree with the Bushistas on nearly EVERYTHING.

4. I voted for the Gore/Lieberman ticket
so I guess I did vote for Joe Lieberman to be VP and possibly president if Gore died. I'm sure glad I didn't vote for the Bush/Cheney ticket, and frankly Nader/LaDuke was not an option for me. I detested Bush and Cheney and wanted to vote for a ticket that would beat them--which they did.

5. I also voted for Gore...
but I didn't have anything against Lieberman until his behavior AFTER the election. He annoyed me with his behavior in the recount, and his cozying up to the *ies completely turned me away.

24. Yes, Cheswick, same here! I voted for that Lieberman look alike who was a
Democrat. What happened to that guy? But, I never thought Lieberman was Gore's best choice and it turned out to be true.

I disagreed with his VP selection, but understood his rationale for his choice.

I would vote for Lieberman if he were nominated against *...reluctantly, mind you.

edit: spelling

22. Please don't take this the wrong way, but what is the point you are
trying to make with this poll, and by the way, I voted gladly for Gore and Lieberman. No hesitation whatsoever. And I will vote for Lieberman if he becomes our nominee.

BTW, I am supporting Dean in the primaries.

Gore was entitled to have his pick for V. President and have support for that choice.

EDIT: left out a word.
