Just wondering, what's being said in Freeperville...

about Galloway's testimony yesterday? I have a weak stomach, and have to stay away from there. But I'm curious what they are saying about it. Anyone DU trolls brave enough to listen in?

But my guess would be to write him off as a nut or ignore him entirely.

Not brave enough to go into the dungeon today, I'm feeling a little down today (overwhelmed with work), so I wont drag myself down to that level.

But I talked to a few bushbots at a softball game last night. These guys are probably in their mid 30's and come pre-programmed to repeat everything that Sean Hannity says on his show that day. They could only say that Galloway is a "socialist" and compared him to Stalin, Mao, et al.

Of course, when asked about the rationale and truth behind his statements, they had no answer other than "go ahead and listen to a commie".

Amazing.

I've got a co-worker like your softball gang. Sits next to me, so I get to listen in to any conversation that happens to turn to things political. I don't have to bother listening to the RW talking heads, because he parrots everything they have recently said.

As far as I know he was not invited by the committee. There was an article a few months ago in some paper that talked of this.

the hearing they saw featured a blow-hard who was obviously lying (?) and good ol norm coleman was "letting him hang himself with his own words". He's also anti-American.

Once in a while one pops up to say, "Galloway took Norm to the woodshed!" but he or she is immediately crushed for being a pinko commie terrorist symp and an all around socialist, atheist liberal.

Whether Galloway is anti-American or not (and over here in the UK he is widely perceived to not be a huge fan of Americans) isn't, or shouldn't be, an issue at all. It has no bearing on the reason he was testifying before the Committee.

What is at issue is that George Galloway said many things yesterday that American politicians and media are afraid to say, and over at FR they just can't stand that someone would do that. That there's someone who isn't afraid of the Bush administration and not only that, isn't afraid to show his contempt.

I'm so used to everybody pussy-footing around the Preznit and it was wonderfully refreshing to see GG yesterday. Galloway has nothing to lose in America and he knows it, so he was ready, willing and able to let his famously short temper and sharp tongue go to work.

What bothers the Freepers is that they can't make him shut up.
