I hear so many people pronounce nuclear like Bush these days. It is mindnumbing. Did Bush change the official pronunciation or have people just assimilated to his mispronunciation of the word?
ETA: I just heard Specter say it again.

3. Eh. Eisenhower pronounced it the same way.

So does Jimmy Carter (and he's a nuclear engineer, no less). It's irritating, but not all that uncommon...seems to be mostly a regional-dialect thing.
