The Alan Colmes Method
Colmes does the boring part of the interview where he grills the victim with the right wing talking points. "How do you answer these charges?" is his standard tack. Then with the set up out of the way, Hannity comes in with his standard stack of lies, followed by a loaded question. It's like watching some good cop, bad cop routine. When Colmes tells the victim "I'm on your side." while he continues to drill them with the right wing talking points, it rings so hollow. Alan Colmes is no liberal's hero. He is a shill, and a boring shill at that, who never makes much more than the most minimal case for the opposition.

1. You got it.
Before he lost his balls even Franken had Colmes pegged. I notice recently he has co-opted Colmes methodology and format in an attempt to move to the middle.

3. His function is to offer token, lukewarm opposition
but to be converted to the superior ideas presented by Hannity by the end of the show. He's a prop, nothing more.

5. His regular paycheck is cut by Faux News. All you need to know.
Has anyone ever, ever, ever heard any right winger outraged about something/anything that Alan Colmes has said?

Didn't think so. :grr:

6. I would agree with you except
I've never actually seen Alan Colmes, I've only read about him here.

8. Leave it to Fakes News to get some geeky looking guy with glasses
to play the liberal. Now if only he had a voice as annoying as that Susan character, who they have to play Democrat for them.

9. Yeah, if Alan would get contacts (or Lasik), hit the weights and
and cycle some 'roids to bulk up, it really wouldn't matter much what he said, Faux viewers would suddenly see the liberal side as at least 33% more legitimate.

...y'see, because Fox viewers are, um, stupid? superficial? Feel more than they think?
