Newsweek is not the Issue; Abuse of Detainees Is

Newsweek, which retracted the article on Monday, made an embarrassing and consequential mistake. But its harshest critics are denying the obvious. What damaged this country's image abroad was its own well-documented abuse of detainees in the war on terrorism, not one magazine's flawed reporting on one element of the abuse.

5. Where is the Strib article?
I'm only seeing one from Kurtz. I emailed them yesterday with the US govt website showing the riots were not caused by the article

7. USA Today just emailed me - they are printing my LTTE on this!
la la raw raw asked for a letter writing campaign and I sent it to them. Let's hope lots of our letters get published - keep the noise machine rolling.
