This is from a couple of days ago, but I don't remember seeing it posted, so am posting it now, separately. Pretty strong editorial:May 17
Courier-Post, Cherry Hill, N.J., on President Bush and a memo about military action in Iraq: It's been almost two-and-a-half weeks since The Sunday Times of London printed a secret memo from seven months before the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq began.
The July 2002 memo, summarizing a report by the head of British intelligence to Prime Minister Tony Blair, said the Bush administration had decided military action was "inevitable" and "intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy."
This kind of revelation demands explanation. Instead, in the 17 days since the memo became public, both Blair and President Bush have been virtually silent. Neither has questioned whether the memo is legitimate.
On May 6, 89 House Democrats sent a letter to President Bush asking for more details; still no response.
There's absolutely no way something this blatant can be ignored. ...
