Talabani Iraq President a former terrorist?

Edit:fixed link

http://www.puk.org/web/htm/news/nws/bremer2mam.html

also to note this: Lobby group if you dig. use Iraq
http://sopr.senate.gov/cgi-win/m_opr_viewer.exe?DoFn=1

they've reported 80,000 of this kurdish groups spent on lobbying congress. What for? To note the Kurds seem to be the only ones who lobbied congress and was elected president.

All of sudden a Kurdish president is chosen? It's also considered by some to be a Terriost org. http://www.tkb.org/Group.jsp?groupID=4104

<snip>
Founding Philosophy: Little is known about the specific objectives and ideology of the Kurdish Patriotic Union, although unconfirmed reports claim that the group is a splinter group of the Kurdish Worker’s Party (PKK). Carrying out a limited number of attacks in Turkey, their actions have been overshadowed by those of the more prominent Kurdish terrorist organizations. Their attacks on tourist targets are presumed to be a tactic to scare foreign tourists away from visiting Turkey and therefore compel the Turkish government into compliance. It is unknown, however, if they were chosen specifically to target British tourists.

PUK the president is none other then: Jalal Talabani the current president of Iraq.

So all we did was put another terriost on the throne of Iraq?

Is this f'ed up to anyone else?

1. No, not terrorist. "Guerilla leader." Don't you pay attention?
He will only become a former terrorist when we are through with him.

2. LOL your right!
I guess I am behind the times but when I pulled up the lobby donation list I was bit shocked when I started to google who PUK was.

All tied right into terriost, lobbyist, and President of Iraq!

3. no, no, no, the preferred term is Freedom Fighter
Have you forgotten that the Contras were not terrorists but Freedom Fighters and, according to Ronald Reagan, were "the moral equivalent of the founding fathers of America"? Not that George Washington ever raped and murdered nuns, but hey, that's a trivial difference.
