TWO U.S. SOLDIERS KILLED IN DRIVE-BY SHOOTING
Edited on Thu May-19-05 02:48 PM by LynnTheDem
Ain't that "darn good progress".

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Two Task Force Baghdad Soldiers died May 19 at approximately 5:40 p.m. from wounds suffered when their convoy was fired upon by terrorists in another vehicle in central Baghdad.

http://www.centcom.mil/CENTCOMNews/Casualty_Report.asp?CasualtyReport=20050523.txt

ENOUGH, ALREADY!

Note to Centcom:

Oh and take your PROPAGANDA BULLSHIT of "fired on by terrorists" and FUCK OFF already!!! When people do drive-by shootings they are MURDERERS. In THIS CASE, they are shooting at LEGITIMATE TARGETS, which you bloody well KNOW because Centcom DOES happen to know what the Geneva Conventions have to say about rebels and uniformed invaders so PISS OFF!!!

9. I'm bloody thankful my hubby did his 18 months there in 2003-2004
And not currently, coz it's getting worse by the bloody day over there.

WE LOST.

We LOST the day bush launched his illegal "SUPREME CRIME" war of aggression against a nation. Especially against a nation that had not been doing a damn thing against anyone.

Just as HITLER LOST the day he launched HIS wars of aggression.

IT'S OVER.

All we're doing now is waiting on a final BODYCOUNT.

DAMN I'm f*cking ANGRY!!! Every damn day for the past 2 1/2 YEARS wading through the blood!

think bush is THE STUPIDEST MFer on the entire planet, closely followed by his Cartel, rightwingnuts, and every warmongering bastard, and the entire lot of them are war criminals that should be locked away for life.

Hubby thinks I'm way too easy on them.

*Thanks for the kind words!

I really needed that smile, THANK YOU! :)

Hubby's opinion is the same as mine and even more so. And his opinion is the same as at least half of the troops.

One of my hubby's guys cracks me up; he refers to bush -and he does not care who hears him- as "The Anti-christ" in the voice of the Men In Black insect-eating guy. :D

15. I suppose all hell will break loose over there sooner or later
I dread the time when the daily toll will be twenty or thirty
soldiers. Like many here, I am both saddened and outraged
over the continued slaughter of innocent Iraqis day in and day out.
I never thought I would live to see the day when I would
feel so ashamed to be an American. But I am.

18. I HATE this shit, ALL of it.
I can see the Iraqi side of things and were I an Iraqi, I'd be with the rebels.

If the USA were invaded & occupied, I'd be with the rebels.

I HATE Iraqis being killed, and INCLUDING the Iraqi soldiers. Even anti-war people discount the Iraqi soldiers killed, like they don't count, being soldiers and all. HELLO WE INVADED a nation that had been doing nothing whatsoever to anyone; the Iraqi soldiers didn't deserve to die by an AMERICAN INVASION (good god how the hell do I ever get used to those 2 words put together?) any more than Iraqi civilians did.

But I'd be attacking US troops myself if I were an Iraqi.

On the other hand, I'm not an Iraqi, and am married to one of those American soldiers. And THEY never deserved to be sent to INVADE and kill and be killed for a politican's bullshit.

They're ALL victims. They're all DEAD or DYING or WOUNDED or MESSED UP in the minds and NONE OF THEM will walk away, not US troops & their families, not Iraqis, from this f*cking mess without being forever scarred in one way or another. Not ONE of them!

11. May they rest in peace.
I pray every single morning that this ends. That the Iraqis and our troops may have peace someway, somehow. I have a good friend over there now, he's in Baghdad and we're worried about him. He was my husband's buddy when he was in, too.

13. Hey! Don't the Chickenhawks Like to Point Out
that it's "safer in Baghdad than it is in DC?"

This makes me sick. Two more lives cut short. Two more families devastated. Two more that will never know the joy of holding their children, or grandchildren. And for what??? A PACK OF LIES!!!

But on a positive, cynical note, "At least they won't have to see the Constitution they were fighting for shredded by the Republicans".

"anti-Iraqi forces." That's their (and Fox's) usual terminology.
