Sen. Bill Nelson just said on the Senate floor that it looks like NO deals
are going to work out.

He said he has been privy to some of the discussions going on and it looks everyone has hardened into their positions and no compromise is going to be agreed to.

Just a heads up.

3. That doesn't surprise me at all. I'm still hoping for enough Pubs to
vote NO and have the vote 49 yea so Cheney can't fix it!

4. I guess Hagel is going to vote with the Repubs and Lugar too.
It is kind of depressing when the ones you think should know better go against their better instincts but those two are doing that on Bolton also. So I guess it is no surprise but it is sad.

5. I figured Hagel would vote with the Pubs.
Anyone planning on running for Pres in 2008 won't take a chance at pissing off the RW.

6. Now I've seen some stuff about McCain abstaining? I haven't
been able to figure out where the hell that came from. I saw it referred to on DailyKos.

To me, that is almost worse then voting against or for because he knows it is wrong but for political expediency he is agreeing not to fight it.
