"The Beast" - what political impact will the movie have?
Personally, I'm one of those people in the minority who believes Jesus was a fiction, or at most an amalgamation of prevalent, pre-existing myths applied to a rather minor political dissident after his death.

I'm also of the opinion that if historical evidence was ever unearthed that proved Jesus was such a fiction that the religious establishment in this world would do everything in its power to bury that information. Actually, such a thing has probably already occurred; see Eusebius, the self-professed liar for Christ. Documents unsupportive of the religion have been routinely torched over the centuries.

How big will this movie be? Will it be ignored? Will it be banned? I can't see it playing in Rock Hill, for example.

1. If I wanted to cause a stir but...
didn't have the money to make a real movie...I'd set up a page exactly like this one to generate a big buzz about nothing.

That being said...the cultural voyuer in me wants this to be a real movie just to see how everyone responds to it.

I don't mind a Passions vs Anti-Passions battle of the box office. But then again I don't take movies all that seriously so I have a hard time thinking that anything they say pro or con about my faith is meaningful.

But then again no one ever talks about MY faith :D

3. You aren't missing much trailerwise...

There appears to be no actual footage shot. The trailer is just some words powerpointed up.

Basic plot appears to be that some Christian HS student discovers proof that Jesus never existed and is just a giant conspiracy (hey someone's spinning DaVinci Code! *shocker*)...

No details beyond that. But for some very funny discussions about a movie that hasn't been made and only has a few paragraphs of concepts public...check out their forums. I think the people chatting there are a pretty witty bunch about it.

Unless a massive amount of actual details emerge I'm suspicious of if this movie will ever actually see the light of day (if it's even intended to)...but if it does it has the small of a straight to video release. But hey I could easily be wrong. Either way I'll check out their forums now for some chuckles.

4. Robbins' "Another Roadside Attraction" was about a guy
who found Christ's body hidden below the Vatican.

5. Oh and in direct answer to the question.
No political impact. (But if it comes out I'm sure E! will cover it :D)
