Howard Dean punk smacked fat-ass Russert ten ways to Sunday
Edited on Sun May-22-05 11:06 PM by Proud2BAmurkin
Russert the Repuke might as well have been the pigboy oxy Rush today but Dean slapped him around the studio every time the Repuke tried to pander to the Repuke Limbots.

15. Yep
I saw a video clip of Kerry on there from the GDPolitics forum and he was that way with Kerry. In December of 2004 I saw Harry Reid on there and he was the same way. When a rightwinger is on the show he kisses their ass even more and gets a sparkle in his eye.

Only the people really paying attention.

And thats the problem, because few are.

4. I **really** hate to play "word police", so...
...can I at least appeal to you sense of creativity (if nothing else) and ask you find some other word besides "bitchslapped" to describe Dean's smackdown of Russert?

It's had it's 15 minutes, time for it to go the way of "23-skiddoo" and "gnarly".

5. How about "dope-slapped"?
It works for the car guys, Click and Clack. Sort of defines the recipient of the slap, as well.

10. That's Fine...
It's not the rhetorical violence that's the problem, it's the framing.

7. Bush lied? huh? when?
That's the one part that pissed me off. Russert should be the first one pointing out Bush's lies.

16. Like after Limbaugh
calls us Feminazis, commies, etc. etc. Dean is supposed to feel bad for making fun of him? I would have laughed right in Russert's face when he got all indignant about making fun of Limbaugh. You're joking, right, Tim?

17. Don't think it was so great for Dean.
Sorry but I just watched the TiVoed version and was not impressed. Dean seems to stumble more than we need him to. His speeches need to stay more on point and not let clips like the one where he said, "Delay is going to jail", be played on Meet the Press. that was a bad move Gov Dean. I'd really like to see Dems standing with him and helping him more. The party seems very un-united about anything but being ANTI republican. I am all for being Anti Repugnants but we have to be for something. I thought Dean did a fair to good job of stating the case of what Dems stand for but where are the rest of the Senators and Reps? I'd like to see a unity rally with Dean. I really don't see or feel total support for him as Chairman and if that remains the case we are in for more of the same in future elections. We are under fire from all sides and what I see and read is more of an everyman for himself outlook for Dems. That will never work! Unity is the key with an enormous grassroots organization in place. When Dems are moving positions to cover each one's on personal goals we are gonna remain the minority.

Dean needs all Dems help. If he doesn't get it he will never be effective as Chairman and as of this moment I don't see high ranking Dems running to be seen in public with him.

18. Russert frames the issues and...
when Dems are seated in his little courtroom show he is the Prosecutor. When it's Rethugs he is the Defense Attorney. It'a all programmed by his Bosses, the GE Defense Contractors.

28. I couldnt disagree more. Dean sparkled. Russert trembled.
Dean was eloquent, he hammered Russert on everything Russert threw at him. Dean did not stumble at all. He shot back on everything. There was nothing Russert could say to shake him. I loved every minute of that interview. EVERY MINUTE

27. Telling him Our Values Are That No Child Should Go To Bed Hungry
You tell him. We have some great values in this party. We need to promote our values of being for the people of this country. We are the party of the people. That should be our main mantra. People not Government make the decisions...

29. I like him a lot too, especially after seeing him not wilt
in front of Russert. When he was asked about apologizing for his comment about DeLay, hearing his emphatic No! was quite satisfying.

Apologize to DeLay... is Russert shooting oxycontin too?

I wish he'd have brought up DeLay's 'Dems have no class' crap...

Can't wait to see how Russert treats the RNC chairman in a couple weeks.

Did that guy get some plastic surgery? I saw him on the Daily Show a while back and that shot of him they used for the bumper looked way different.
